Luxury Old Town Suite - XXL Terrasse & XXL Penthouse

This is a fabulous large apartment in the center of the old town. It has a lived-in / collected style, meaning it feels like a stylish home rather than a rental apartment. It is exceptionally well-appointed, with everything you may need in the kitchen and laundry room, and was spotlessly clean. There are multiple bedrooms, two of them with cribs (which we didn't need but a family with young children might). The beds are very comfortable. The apartment has abundant natural light and is airy - during our stay, the temperatures were in the 90s, and although there was no air conditioning, it didn't get too hot. The living room has a lovely terrace. A grocery store is a few minutes away, and many restaurants are nearby. The check-in instructions were very clear and thorough, and communication with the host was impeccable. If we ever return to Heidelberg, we'll stay in this apartment again!

The artificial lighting in the living room/kitchen is weak. There is no elevator, which wasn't a problem for us but could be an issue for someone with mobility challenges. The parking spot that comes with the apartments was not available during our stay (another guest used it) so we had to park in the public garage (which, fortunately, was pretty close by).

Location is terrific for getting to all the sites and everywhere else in Heidelberg. A great cafe at the top of the street and a little market for groceries only a few doors down from that. The patio is great, particularly in the evening when it's warm out. Great during the day when it's cooler. Fun to watch the river traffic and people walking up the street and to the University canteen.

The only downside is that if the windows are open, the nighttime partiers and "crooners" can make for interrupted sleep. However, Silke provides foam earplugs as a fun aid to help block out all those Frank Sinatra wannabees.

Perfect location in the city centre. The appartment was even better than the pictures. Very comfortable and large. Nice terrace. Everything was new and very well kept. Showers were perfect. And everything was clean. I definitly recommend this appartement. Host Silke is very helpful!

Big beautiful property in an exceptional location.

The apartment has a spectacular location and suited our needs perfectly as a family of seven. You step out of the front door directly into the streets of the Old Town. There are small shops and supermarkets close by for any immediate needs and you are surrounded by shops and restaurants.

TV not connected to the internet, but hardly a problem
