"Great views."

7.0

Great views ideal location for us.

Property is starting to show its age and is time for a make over very basic compared with many we have stayed in for the same money. The stairs need looking at green and very slippery when wet a real danger when lifting bags and cases up and down.

"A lovley place to stay, quiet and with lovley views over the Welsh hills. No noise from neighbours"

9.0

No close neighbours and with lovely views to the West over Welsh hills and farm land. Very quiet and peaceful. Good range of TV programmes available. A map of the nearest town, Bishop's Castle, showing the location of all the eating places - very helpful. We visited the Castle Hotel twice - good quality food with ample portopns.

The bathroom was small but had averything we needed. The only problem was that the tiolet was too close to the wall for my comfort. My wife found the steps to the property were very demnding but for a norally mobile person they would not be a problem

"Pleasant"

6.0

A superb location, and the views from the balcony were absolutely stunning. There are plenty of walks nearby. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and there are maps, books and tourist information in the lounge area. The sofa is very comfortable and the owners are very helpful.

The bedroom and wet room are very small, The bed is a standard double (135 x 200 cm) and a kingsize (150 x 200 cm) which would have fitted in the space would have made it more comfortable. The wet room has no shelves for toiletries due to the sloped walls and there were no rails to hang up towels as the hooks on the door were taken up by our toiletry bags. The toilet was very close to the wall and there was no toilet roll holder just the paper on the cistern! Additional shelving above the clothing rail in the alcove "closet" would have also been useful. The balcony is very small and the chairs on it are extremely uncomfortable and hard. The sofa is at the far end of the main room and the small flat screen TV (not a smart TV) is too far away to watch properly (not that we came to Rhiastyn barn to watch TV!) so we just gave up.

The location was absolutely beautiful, the keys were already in the house so they were very easy to pick up, the house was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

"Nice place to come back to after a day walking, wandering or watching."

Nice modern accommodation in peaceful village with outstanding view of beautiful countryside. Owner was helpful in allowing me to charge up my phev car battery for a fair fee.

Missing a few home comforts but nothing you couldn't live without for a few days.
