Hodge Bower Holidays - Ironbridge, Squires

It was lovely to have the whole apartment. The flapjacks on arrival were gorgeous! Nice nooks and crannies in the property. Selection of shampoos etc.

We would have welcomed some leaflets about the area - would have been much more useful for us than the online links. Information about the shops as well. And the best ways into town either the quickest routes or the most accessible by road. We also would have welcomed info about buses/taxis - on the way to Telford to come home, we were given conflicting info, weren't sure that we'd got to the right bus stop and in the end a kind passer by ran home to get her car and gave us a lift because no-one knew much about the buses and someone said you can't get taxis without phoning/having an account! The bed was far too bouncy! It meant that when one of us moved in the night, the other was disturbed. No sleep the first night (at one time I moved onto the floor for a couple of hours, but that didn't work either); little sleep the other two nights. We didn't manage to get anything to cook and realised that this would have been too much kafuffle anyway, as there weren't basics in the apartment such as cooking oil, salt, maybe herbs? No bread board. Also washing up properly was a challenge because the scourer was so inadequate - bad enough trying to get the tea rings off the cups after a cuppa, let alone trying to clean greasy pots and pans. A pair of scissors would have been useful to open packets.

The flat was perfect for our needs, clean and cute!

It's at the end of a very steep, very narrow road. Just something to be aware of, but worth it for the gorgeous views!

Great location, a lovely touch of flapjacks left in kitchen for our arrival. Generally all clean, tidy and comfortable. Loved the little room with a view, did my yoga workout there each morning! Good value for money.

Generally everything was really great. Just a couple of things, the windows in view room needed a clean, the toaster was temperamental.

Nice clean facilities, great seating area looking out over Ironbridge and walking distance to the town

Posts on the car park edge need repairing or moving.

Quiet and scenic location

Loved the location and beautiful, homely rooms

We cooked our own breakfast. Freezer and fridge were left on which was convenient.

Top compartment of freezer door was broken when we arrived. Otherwise freezer worked very well. Peanuts left behind the settee - could have done with cleaning behind the settee and under the bed where an empty water bottle was found.

The instructions to get to the flat were clear and easy to understand. The kitchen is full of useful things which we used to prep a picnic.

A mirror closer to natural light would have been useful but not essential.
