Spacious Shude Hill Apartment With Balcony

Across the road from the Arndale Centre. Spacious lounge area.

Entrance down a dodgy back street and hard to find. The children with us were anxious going in and out. Stairs and entrance to apartment were dirty. Apartment hadn't been cleaned properly. Crumbs on the work surfaces, floors and seating. Sticky patches on the floor with hair stuck to it. I changed all the bedding because there were dodgy stains and glitter, hair and what looked like beard hair stuck to it (although the person I was in touch with got back to me quickly and was very helpful when I requested new bedding). Spills down the kitchen cupboards and toothpaste on the bathroom walls. Sofa beds in lounge were actually futons, with very thin 'mattresses' on, bedding for them just folded up on the floor under one of the beds in the bedroom. Had to msg to find out where they were. No pillow protectors on any of the pillows. Toilet didn't flush properly, bath not rinsed properly. I get it that previous guests have obviously damaged things like doors, door handles and work surfaces, which is inexcusable, but the apartment also needs some tlc as many of the fixtures and fittings are tired and worn e.g., floor surface lifting, scratched surfaces. Don't remember anything about a £250 deposit being required when I booked, which was requested shortly before our stay. Booked this because of the good reviews, but can only think they were for the other apartment in the building. First time I've ever been disappointed with accommodation booked through Booking.com

Huge flat for my family and kids.

The mattress was not comfortable in the ensuite bedroom. Big party noise till 3 am from neighbours. (Ensuite bedroom). Flat floor was dirty when we arrived.

Very nice apartment in great central location perfect for what we needed.
