Fewo im Herzen von Unterfranken

We stayed at the holiday home for 2 nights. I wish we could have spent more time here. Everything was perfect. Less than 10 minutes walk to the city center and train station. The aesthetics of the apartment was top notch. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely, modern, ground-floor apartment in a Grand Design house, just a short stroll from Marktbreit’s attractive old town on the Main river. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and with everything you could possibly need for a short - or longer - stay. Such a friendly and helpful host family, who even provided local beer … much appreciated while sat in the sunshine on the outside patio area, which is ideal for an al fresco brekkie. Walk-in shower was such a refreshing boost after our travels; kitchen/diner is superbly equipped and neatly separated from the sitting room with its big TV and ultra-comfy seating. Bedroom only has slit windows so not a great deal of natural light, but perfect for a good night’s sleep. Miraculously, for a small town in Bavaria, we discovered an excellent Indian restaurant two minutes walk away! The area is also a wine lover’s paradise, with the riverside slopes along the Main dotted with vineyards. The glorious baroque city of Wurzburg is about half an hour away by car, but we drove to nearby Rottenbauer and travelled in on the tram for a leisurely afternoon enjoying the historic sights.

Wonderful accommodation all round. Don’t be intimidated by parking on the road outside, with very little passing traffic
