De Parel

The location was excellent with everything within easy walking distance. It was a spacious and simply but tastefully decorated open plan living area in an historic building (which is the reason the staircase is so steep!). Infact I was glad there was a toilet on the same floor as the bedrooms as I was concerned that I may have to use the stairs during the night. We liked the bright kitchen with useful island. While the outside terrace faces the back of block of apartments it was good to have some outside space even if we couldn't really use it when we there due to noisy refurbishment work being carried out on the building. Not a problem for us in our short time there as we were always out. It was our first time to Zeeland and we loved discovering the towns of Zierkzee (about 40 minutes' drive away and at the end of the longest bridge in the Netherlands) and Veere, which is very near to Middelburg. Note that you should go straight to the public parking on the outside of town for both of these places. The walk into town from these public car parks is very short and they are relatively inexpensive. Unlike the one in the centre of Veere which is about 55 euros for the day. And do look out for the many cyclists around if you end up driving in the centre of the towns by mistake!

The issues below are not serious ones and just for constructive feedback. We found the private parking garage a bit difficult to find and went into a public car park (Parkeergarage Geere) by mistake. It might be a good idea to advise people to put 'Parkeergarage Geere' in the SatNav and then advise to drive to the right past the entrance to the public garage until arriving at the private underground parking much further along. (Maybe add a photo of the outside of the public garage with an arrow to the right). The short cut walking from the car park to the apartment is only about 5 minutes at most. I think there were meant to be instructions for the car parking on the table where the keys were but we didn't find them. It was particularly hot when we were there and the warm undersheet was a bit uncomfortable as well as the thick duvet. Crisp cotton sheets would be good for such times and maybe leave an extra top sheet if necessary for hot nights. Perhaps provide some short tumblers for water upstairs as we had to use the thin Heineken glasses and I was a bit concerned they might fall off the bedside table. A long mirror somewhere upstairs would be nice. Be prepared for the steep outside steps to the apartment. I'm in my late 60s and walked up and down very carefully.

Die Lage mitten in der Stadt ist phantastisch. Tolle Geschäfte und Restaurants in Laufnähe. Zur Wohnung gehört ein Tiefgaragenstellplatz, der in unmittelbarer Nähe ist. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Het is een mooie locatie. Dicht bij het centrum. Het appartement is groot schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Helaas hadden we zaterdagnacht veel last van hang jongeren voor de deur

Geen magnetron aanwezig. Verder alles top.

Perfecte locatie, centraal gelegen, keuken goed uitgerust, incl. vaatwasser, oven, nespresso koffieapparaat, dichtbij parkeergarage beschikbaar (lastig te vinden), AH op 2 minuten loopafstand.

Ons terras was niet schoongemaakt en de kussen voor de tuinbank waren vies. Elke ochtend om 7:00uur werkzaamheden ( trespa beplating wordt vervangen/ schoongemaakt) in de flat tegenover ons verblijf (we hadden gewoon pech) Over 1 week zouden deze werkzaamheden vast klaar moeten zijn. De slaapkamers verdienen meer aandacht, ze zijn stoffig en achter de bedden wordt niet goed schoongemaakt. Enorme overlast van muggen ( we gingen op ze elke avond tot 3:00 uur in de ochtend jagen) Bij mooi weer zijn de slaapkamers erg benauwd. Er zijn geen horen of airconditioning aanwezig. We hadden 4 zonnige dagen met temp. 20-26°C. Bedden waren prima, helaas alleen met extra dikke winterdekens. Na 4 slapeloze nachten en met tientalen muggenbulten gingen we graag terug naar huis.

Très bel emplacement! Bon plan la place de parking gratuite à proximité. Appartement cosy, bien aménagé, literie très bonne. Un vrai plaisir!

Eine sehr geschmackvoll und gemütliche Wohnung in perfekter Lage. Der dazugehörenden Tiefgaragen Parklplatz rundet das Ganze ab.

Die Leuchtmitrel sind zu "gemütlich", ist aber eher ein Luxusproblem.
