Holiday Apartments Amarilis

This was our second stay in this property but not in the same apartment. Very nice, clean and comfortable property. The pool and jacuzzi were on disposal from 8am to 9pm, in the garden a lot of sunbeds and place for taking the rest. Also BBQ, washing machine and ironing facilities available in shared area. Beaches are on walking distance (about 1km from the property). Apartment is clean, all needed facilities available, big and comfortable terrace was favourite for dinning. The host is nice, very supportive and always on disposal.

Horrific experience – owner evicted us after 3 days! We were constantly threatened, our children were terrified, and we were devastated. This was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had while traveling. We came over 1300 km from home, as a large family group – 14 people, including 6 children – hoping for a peaceful vacation. Instead, after just 3 days, the owner evicted us from the property without any valid reason. Even worse, during our stay he was constantly intimidating and threatening us. From the very beginning, the atmosphere was hostile. It felt like he was just waiting for a reason to throw us out. Eventually, he called the police on us without justification. The police came, checked everything, and confirmed we had done absolutely nothing wrong – but despite that, the owner forced us to leave the property. Our children were terrified, crying and confused, and we were shocked, devastated, and helpless. We were left in a foreign country, in high season, without accommodation, carrying our luggage and trying to calm down six frightened kids. It was an extremely traumatic and unfair experience. To make matters worse, the owner clearly does not tolerate children, even though there was no mention anywhere on the property listing that children were not welcome. Had we known that, we would never have made the reservation in the first place. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into a nightmare – full of stress, fear, and emotional harm. This property is absolutely not suitable for families with children – or anyone expecting to be treated with basic respect and decency. I strongly advise others to stay away. No one should ever be treated the way we were.

Property is well located within reasonable walking distance of the beach and local stores. Has dedicated parking spaces.

Apartment was very hot ( as it faces west ). Air conditioning was woefully inadequate- it was way too small to cool the entire apartment quickly and efficiently and is positioned in a spot which hinders its ability to cool the apartment. To make matters worse, the filters in the unit were dirty ( see pic ) which made the air conditioning completely ineffective. After removal of the filters ( to help operation of the unit ) and running the unit the entire night overnight, there was still only a very modest change in the temperature of the apartment by the morning. Beds were hard and uncomfortable and bedroom doors offered no privacy. One bedroom had a concertina door and the other a sliding, semi obscured glass door that offered no privacy. Laundry facilities were available, but at additional costs ( of which there was no mention in the listing ). Use of the Jacuzzi needed prior arrangement with the owner and came with a time limit. Power to the apartment was only available with the room key placed in a switch - which in ordinary circumstances wouldn’t be too much of an issue, other than the air conditioning not working effectively and needing to be left running in order to attempt to cool the apartment down. Owner was pleasant enough until we addressed the above mentioned issues with him and requested a cancellation and refund of the remaining two nights of our 3 night stay. He concocted a story about how has nothing to do with the cancellations/refunds and that it’s all handled via a booking agency. When we put it to him that he obviously has the final say in any matter ( seeing he owns the property ), we were once again referred to the booking agency to try and resolve the issue. There was no attempt at all by the owner to try and work out an amicable solution, just hand balling the matter off to the booking agency - who also had no interest in finding an amicable solution, just rudely stating there was nothing they could do and hanging up.

We loved the apartment, all new and clean. Pool and jacuzzi are amazing. We specially enjoyed Branes (the owners) help and kind attitude

We had a fantastic time! The accommodation was absolutely perfect! It exceeded all our expectations. A clean, tidy, modern apartment that meets every need. The host was kind, helpful, and friendly, always readily available to assist us. Thank you for letting us stay here. We'll definitely come back again!
