Darlington Town Centre Apartments free parking and Wi-Fi

Little touches were useful - washing up liquid, bin bags etc, fleece throws on the sofa, iron, hairdryer etc

When we arrived the apartment smelled really damp. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work so the smell had travelled through the apartment. Managed to work out how to put the towel heater on to dry it out a bit. Had to buy air fresheners and burn a scented candle in the bathroom whenever we were in. The handle was detached from the window in the sitting room and it was stuck open. Luckily the weather was good so it wasn’t cold but was extremely noisy from the road noise even through the night, so had VERY disturbed sleep on the sofa bed. Description said apartment was soundproofed - it certainly was not! I heard several arguments, music, conversations etc, almost as in they were in the same room. a lot of noise came up from the barbers downstairs. Parking was behind the row of shops on the other side of the road next to a disused restaurant. Came back one morning and there was a car blocking the exit to the car park.

Appartment was very good not far from town centre. Kitchen was great. Modern and well kitted out.

Parking wasn't great where it was.. we had big problem when we got there. No electrics working bathroom light hanging and bit of water dripping out of toilet fan. But fair play to owner he sent a chap to get the lights on , very nice chap .found a faulty wire and fixed it. We agreed to carry on with bathroom light not working , as it couldn't be fixed there and then We didn't want to move to another apartment as we drove for 8 hours to get there and it was late.we were attending a family funeral the next day. We also next day had an awfull smell coming up the drains, I don't think the owner was aware of these problems at the time and would be sorted by now. We were very pleased with our stay despite a few hiccups.The maintenance man, who drove half hour to come and help was very quick to get there and was very nice man, very polite couldn't do enough for us even though it got quite late. 👍

Frankly speaking, not much at all. Nothing by way of shower gel, hair shampoo or even a tablet of soap im the bathroom which clearly had massive mould spores as the place stank. The lounge furnishings were ancient cast offs that had seen better days 30 years ago or more and seats on kitchen chairs were filthy though could easily have been cleaned. OK the bed was passable. clean and fresh smelling.

There was no heat in the place and there were no instructions on how to set the heaters up. To close the lounge blinds you had to climb onto the sofa soft furnishings. No window handle on the window by the kitchen area and windows inside and out were dirty so I wrote DIRTY on one so you could see it from the inside. No mention made of the place being directly above one of the score or more of fast food shops, nor on a very busy road. Police, Ambulance and Fire Brigade have a busy time in Darlington. I hated the place, will never come back and consider it was a total rip off. Artistic licence given to the photographs.

The whole place was repellent, and should not be allowed to be advertised.

Stench of drains, stained furniture and old mattress, obviously been like that for years. The area felt unsafe as did building, extremely run down and bore no resemblance to the pictures or description

Clean, not far away from town centre

Parking was behind a closed down restaurant without security or lighting in a run down area Opposite the flat. Entrance was via a numbered lock which I wasn't aware due to limited info on site. Had to call the guy over phone and get key safe and lock number.the guy wasn't very pleasant and only gave limited advice. I had to call a second time to find out where the parking was.stains on the sofas etc window couldn't be closed as there was no handle.the beds were very uncomfortable. I'd perhaps stay again but only because it was quite cheap and if I was strapped for cash
