The property was well done, and to a high standard. Bar an ironing board and iron, we had everything we would need.

Overall, the stay was fine, but there are a few things that could use some attention. The door lock could do with a bit of work, though it’s nothing major. The cord for one of the blinds is positioned behind another, which makes it a little awkward to adjust and maintain privacy when coming and going. We’re quite light sleepers, and as the appliances are in the same room, we were woken a few times during the night. That said, the hosts have made good use of the space available. It would have been helpful if it were made clearer that the accommodation is a converted garage. The walls are rather thin, and we could hear the children in the main house in the morning, which woke us up. Most of these points are minor, but the main issue was with the shower. After my partner used it in the morning, I wasn’t able to have one myself, as it completely overflowed and flooded part of the living area. We followed the instructions provided, flushing the toilet beforehand and during, but the problem still occurred. The water spread across the floor and even reached our phones, which were charging on the floor next to the bed. Thankfully, they’re waterproof, but it could have been a real issue otherwise. It might help to install a shower tray with a higher lip or look into improving the drainage system.
