City Apartments

Hamant is friendly and super-accommodating. He arranged a very well priced taxi transfer from the airport, advised us to get cash out in city rather than the airport (poor rates) and provided recommendations of local sights and food options. We appreciated having the large jug of bottled water provided - Mauritian tap water is safe to drink but I guess many tourists would rather have bottled water. He also very kindly offered to drive us to the supermarket to grab some essentials when we arrived! The apartment is spacious, has powerful AC in the bedroom, has a large terrace and is walking distance from the centre of Port Louis, about 20/25 minutes walk to Central Market (although we walked slowly due to the heat!) You can park right outside the apartment for free, there are small shops for essentials very close by, the bed is huge!

There is AC in the bedroom and not in the living room/kitchen but a fan is provided. The front door was a little tricky to lock/unlock.

Great apartment. Location, equipment and cleanliness were exceptional. About 10-15 minutes walk to the waterfront, market, bus station and “metro”. Hamant the host was welcoming and went out of his way to show me around and to arrange a taxi. Great view if the mountains and the old fort “Citadel” which is within easy walk as is the race course “ Champ De Mars”. It’s the perfect place to stay if you wish to stay in Port Louis and I would highly recommend it. Thank you Hamant.
