We stayed in this apartment with six adults and paid +/- €500 per night, so we expected a certain level of comfort. While the apartment itself was clean and generally as described, we were very disappointed with the sleeping arrangements. The listing clearly stated the apartment was suitable for six people. We knew in advance that this included one double bed, two single beds, and a sofa bed. However, the sofa bed was an extremely narrow, hard bench-like surface — completely unsuitable for two adults. One of us ended up sleeping on the floor, which is unacceptable for an accommodation in this price range. The photos on the website also made the apartment look much more spacious than it actually was, although we understand this is not uncommon. We contacted customer service the next day by phone. While they were reachable, we were met with repeated claims that there had never been any complaints in the past, and that if the listing says the apartment accommodates six people, then it must be so. We strongly disagree with this. It is misleading and does not reflect the reality. Furthermore, I was not able to file an official complaint by phone — the representative simply said she would pass on the message to her colleagues. I have not heard anything since. This experience left us disappointed and frustrated. We expected more transparency and better service, especially considering the high price.

Information on accessing the property was good. The agent contacted us on the day explaining what we needed to do so this all ran smoothly. Location was very good and a short walk to the sea front.

Unfortunately there were some issues with the property. For example, there was mould in the bathroom, the single beds were uncomfortable (the king bed was really good though) and the settee was uncomfortable. I did report all of this to the agent who was very responsive and who reacted promptly to another query that I raised to get something fixed, so I'm hopeful that they will resolve the issues that I've raised for future guests. Note also that the driveway is VERY narrow. We have a small car and I'm a confident driver and even I struggled a little getting down the side of the house (brick walls either side, so no room for error!). If you have a large car, you might not be able to access the off-street parking.

It was so spacious, exceptionally clean, and so comfortable. Had everything you need, the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, glasses, bowls and cooking dishes, pans etc. Modern decor and everything felt really clean.

Nothing - there wasn’t anything to dislike.

It was a lovely stay. Everything you need is there. Lovely location. Not too far from the beach!! Quiet area.

My only worry was the parking. I was able to get a space, but it was at the entrance of the road. This wasn’t an issue. I had wheels on my suitcase!!.

Many things made me really happy about this property. 1. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach. 2. The location was quiet and secure 3. Very modern and beautiful house. 4. They had cutlery and dinnerware for kids guys !!. My four year old was happy to use his paw patrol plate.. 5. The shower was really nice 6. The hosst were amazing. very quick to espond to messages and give us advise when needed. We come to portsmouth every year and this is the best apartment we have stayed in. If yoi are looking for a home away from home, I highly rcommend
