The Hideaway - On-site Hot Tub - Close to town

Great wee place to stay. Very clean and good value for money. Was an easy walk in and out of town and a bonus having an off street carpark. The photos don't do this place justice :)

Spent a week mounting biking around queenstown it was such a great spot to stay . Only a short ride to skyline

I liked that inside the hut was very clean. The shower was good and powerful. There was good designated parking and I liked how you didn’t have to interact with the owners.

I didn’t like the smell of the hideaway- It had a fish smell to it. When I was booking the hideaway I thought they made it sound as though the Hot tub was beside your hut and it was for yourself to use whenever you would like however when we arrived it was a shared hottub, behind another cabin and there were certain times you could use it. The hot tub was also slightly dirty with debris. I felt as thought it wasn’t overly private and there were old doors/ fencing lying at the side of the cabin. I personally find that for the price of it for the two nights I stayed, was not a fair price for what you are getting.

There was not much to like. Its description should read “Backpackers Delight”. It was a tiny prefab box down a dodgy laneway with a dingy tiny yard. It was at least 3km to town centre. No television and no where to store one’s luggage. We have travelled extensively using Booking.com and whilst we don’t need 5 star, we don’t (at our age -79) want to slum it. We ended up staying elsewhere and did not use this facility.

Hidden away but still a great location on the outskirts of Queenstown. Basic cabin but with nice finish and well equipped kitchenette. Good heating systems for cold nights. Hot tub was enjoyed after long days of activities
