It was close to Queenstown central area

Wasn’t the cleanest. Smelly, dusty , dirty. Couldn’t get rid of the odour and piles of linen clean and dirty sitting in a garage downstairs was off putting . Washing machine had tissue through it . Not cleaned properly at all yet we pay a fee for that in our booking.

Loved how the rooms were upstairs different from the kitchen and living area. Loved the kitchen facilities we used.

The garage was too small so it’s hard to fit a big car there and also you can’t reverse on to the main road so it was very hard to try and get your car out from the garage onto the road.

Location

We were really disappointed with this property and would not stay again nor recommend. The overall cleanliness was very poor. The lounge was visibly dirty and covered with blankets to cover the filth, the carpets were grimy in high-traffic areas, and generally everything felt unclean. The washing machine was also filthy and left our clothes smelling worse after use. The kitchen was not functional for a stay of this type. There was only one baking tray, and the oven had no manual with the numbers written on in white pen. When we asked for help, we were told to Google it, which wasn’t particularly helpful given the markings didn’t match properly. There were also some concerning practical and safety issues. The fridge and microwave were running off a power board that repeatedly tripped when using the microwave. The hot water ran out after just three showers, which is not adequate for a property of this size. On arrival, there were a large number of bags of used laundry left in the garage from previous guests. During our stay, someone accessed the garage while we were out and removed some of this laundry without any prior notice. When we returned, the garage door had been left fully open, leaving the property completely accessible to anyone. This was a significant security concern and very unsettling, particularly as we had not been informed anyone would be entering the property. When this was raised with the owner, the response was dismissive. Overall, the property is in need of a proper deep clean and significant improvements. It did not represent value for money given the price paid.
