Ferienwohnung Granat

The apartment was clean, bright and well equipped. The bed in the larger bedroom was quite comfortable. It was very nice to have an in-house mini-mart for a variety of beverages. The balcony was huge and we had amazing views of the town and the mountains. Good parking.

We were disappointed that in a week’s time we never once met or were greeted by the host. The 9am check-out time was early, but we knew that from the start, but the reality of it was harsh. The kitchen-living space combination was quite small — large enough for two people, but four would be cramped. The dining table accommodates only one chair with seating for three on a bench with no back - not exactly comfy when it’s the only place to sit. The “sofa“ was more like a cot - also with no back, so not a comfortable place to sit at all. The house is situated on a steep hill that could be a problem for anyone wanting to walk up and down to the center of town.

Spacious apartment for 2 people in 2 bedrooms. For 4 people, space in the kitchen (table seating) might be a bit restrictive. Big terrace for summer visits. Carport and direct ground floor access from the car park area into the house/apartment.

Stress and hectic at check-out which was scheduled at 9am. This could be 10am, it wouldn't hurt! However, at 8:50am the cleaner was knocking on the door wanting to service the apartment. Bed matresses slightly harder than expected.

Great location. Great views. Good appliances in the apartment.

Pillows and mattresses were very hard on your sleep.

The view from the balcony of the Granat suite, full on of the Karwendal mountains overlooking the fairy tale town was a traveler's dream. There in shoulder season so no tourist crowds though some venues not open, like the Karwendalbahn. But the peace and beauty of the Bavarian village all the more palpable.
