Spacious and comfortable- very convenient location. Access to parking.

Owners very receptive and helpful in dealing with a heating issue

Lots of space and a lovely living dining room space. Comfortable beds. Clean.

Very very hard to find. Thankfully the locals helped us out. Best description I think, would be to pull into the shell service station on the left hand side VERY NEAR to the road you actually need to go up to get to the property. Very difficult to see from the road travelling either way. Once you are at the service station look across the road and you will see a little road (dirt) that takes you up to your car park. After that Joanna has described the walking path to your apartment/ cottage very well. Shower was REALLY slippery. But had hot water.

Cute little cottage near to bowness and windermere. Good sized living space and everything well equipped for a short break in the lakes. The master bedroom was very comfortable. Bus stop just 1 minute walk away to the main towns. Petrol station over the road for essentials.

The noise from people staying in the upstairs apartment was intrusive, creaking floorboards, footsteps and conversations could all be heard. The single beds need a refresh....either the base or mattress are broken and very uncomfortable.

Value for money. Owners shared all good local info to help us made our trip better. Great recommendation to local Italian restaurant too.

One washroom for four people to use

Comfortable and roomy for our needs being a couple and single. Everything was well appointed and loved the location.

Finding the property was challenging and then parking but once we found it, it was easy.

Cosy, clean and comfortable

The Old Post Office was a perfect location for my son and I to explore the beauty of the Lakes District. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our UK trip both affordable and practical. The added convenience of having a service station diagonally across the road made it that bit easier to get some basic supplies during our stay. We really found that by staying at The Old Post Office really enhanced our experience in enjoying all the region had to offer. If we were to return to explore more of the Lakes District we would without hesitation book this property. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Only a minor grizzle is that the property is a little tricky to find as the driveway is a little concealed from the road. The information provided by our host were helpful but perhaps some images included of the driveway would help.

Lovely cottage,well equipped. Good location for getting about. Kids loved it and want to go back some day. We had a very comfortable stay.

The only thing I didn't like was the parking being a bit away from the cottage was a bit awkward being on my own. I know there isn't really anything the owners can do about it. Perhaps trimming the hedge at the parking space would be useful.
