Private Retreat Apartment in DC

Natasha is a great hostess. I liked the location and price to rent the space for the weekend. I love places like this and will always choose to spend my money with a local then pay money to a hotel chain. You get more of a personal experience and it feels more like home.

The house sits on a hill, so if you have any mobility issues with stairs or walking up and down a small steep driveway; let Natasha know ahead of time, so she can make arraignments for assistance.

The location was excellent we wanted somewhere close enough to the centre without being in it. The bus was really easy to use, my tip would be to drive nearer to 16th st and park if you don’t fancy the walk (it’s uphill and it was really hot 🥵) the hop on hop off bus that goes round the monuments etc is really good too. Natasha was really helpful with all the information. We also went to the nearby zoo which was free if you didn’t park there. We were out and about a lot so didn’t spend much time in the apartment but it really was a home away from home with literally everything you needed.

The apartment was in a very safe and beautiful location. It had everything we needed. The game room and laundry room were wonderful to be able to use.

The apartment was very homey and stocked with all necessities. The host was friendly and very informative. It was easily accessible to public transportation. The futon turned into a bed which was great and the added mattress pad made it very comfortable.

Because of the angle of the shower head, when you turn on the shower you are hit with a burst of cold water and water sprayed to the bathroom floor, however the water heated up pretty quickly. The shower was also a bit small.

Natasha was very nice and welcoming.

There are too many steps to get to the apartment. It is very difficult for anybody who has heavy luggage or difficulty with climbing steps. This should have been stated in the description of the place before hand. Also, it says the apartment is $109 but I ended up paying $220.

The shower area needs to be cleaned up a bit. The caulking needs cleaning up and around the doors . The coffee maker wasn’t cleaned and the glasses in the kitchen need replacing. Water marks I couldn’t each clean. The entry into the apartment needed cleaning and painting.
