Tiwai Waka Retreat

The location is gorgeous- up in the trees, surrounded by birds and bird song, space to breathe clear air. The apartment is well appointed and a nice space to be in. Has a slightly odd layout entering through the bedroom and then the bathroom - but it’s ok.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. After driving 8 hours I can't say one bad thing about this place. Warm, comfortable, spacious, SUPER CLEAN! Self check in, easy to access. More than enough room to park our ute. Heaps of spare blankets pillows etc in the wardrobe. Massive smart TV, beautiful clean kitchen with spreads, cereals bread, milk. Also bathroom was stocked with necessities you'd need. We didn't want to go home!! Host is easy to communicate with if you need anything or have questions while you stay. We had all the privacy, beautiful views I can't even explain how amazing this home is. I want to come back!! 😊

Clean, comfortable. The view / patio it’s excellent but if it’s raining you can’t really enjoy ( our case).

The kitchen! The stove was the weirdest thing I ever saw, and not functional . We cannot have a proper breakfast, only toast and tea / coffee. The apartment also lack of functionality: the main entrance it’s by the master bedroom, after that you pass by the bathroom to enter in the living room/ kitchen/ hallway.. Not sufficient towels in the bathroom( we booked for 3 people).

Met the owners and both are very lovely. Their home is beautiful, in a quiet area tucked away by nature. Very warm and comfy, and a setup for young child/ren. You need more than 2 nights to enjoy :)

The thoroughfare between outside to indoor. Once we advised the owner, they fixed the issue immediately.

Very well equipped and great quiet location with a lovely non- interrupted view from the balcony, also got some toys for my daughter to play with. Breakfast included
