Waterside Apartments

The location was really good. It was very clean and pretty much had everything we needed. The view was phenomenal. The other “residents “ were also very respectful and kind.

At night, the beach can get loud with locals. The bed/pillows were also quite uncomfortable. Woke up with various back pains and neck pains. Wasn’t also enough toilet paper provided. We had to purchase additional rolls.

Beautiful view, easy access to the beach for swimming or snorkeling. It’s a small property so it doesn’t feel crowded with a large amount of people trying to find a place at the beach.

The kitchen was equipped with basics, but if you wanted to really cook meals for a family, it might be harder to do.

Right on the water with easy access. Small public beach next to the property. Gated parking. Good security and personable staff.

Wish there had been a microwave or oven in the kitchenette.

We liked that it was right next to the ocean.

The moving flap on the air conditioner in the main bedroom wasn't working correctly. We had to move it open ourselves so the air would come out. It needs to be fixed. Also, the Beach Door code button was not working. One of the numbers was pushed in and therefore, would not work. Needs to be fixed. Having more ice cube trays and bigger ones would be very beneficial. One small ice cube tray just isnt enough. And lastly, it would be so much more convenient if the apartment had a microwave. Would highly recommend investing in purchasing one. It would make fixing meals much more convenient. Other than that, everything else was very good.

Nice and comfortable apartment. It felt great to have a small secluded beach just outside, we went there for a swim in the morning or in the evening. It was a nice location to explore all of the beaches in the west part of Curacao. Lotte was a nice and helpful host.

Lotte and Sandra were very warm and welcoming. The facility had everything we needed and wanted. We rented our car from them, which was super convenient, and had ordered the basic grocery package ahead of time which was great. Snorkling in front of the building is excellent!

There really wasn't anything.

The apartment building is on a beautiful part of the island, within a fairly short drive to Willemstad and directly on the beach as you can see. Lotte provided a warm welcome and showed the apartment and all its features. We stayed in the non sea-view apartment, but it was great. Just a few steps out the front door was a large balcony area with some shared space that overlooked the ocean, and just a few steps more was a door to a private-feeling small beach with easy water access. There is gated off-street parking in addition to an open parking lot by the front office. Everything feels very safe and secure. Everything in the apartment was in good working order. We did a supermarket run beforehand; there was oil, salt, pepper, and coffee filters in the apartment, but we bought our own coffee. The A/C is in the two bedrooms only, but there is a fan for the living room that really helps. The garden area of this apartment is huge, with a table and umbrella and a clothes drying rack, with plenty of space to spread out.

I did not vote the property down for this, but the listing for our apartment at least was partially incorrect. It was listed as having an oven, both generally ("a full kitchen") and specifically ("oven"). We did a supermarket run beforehand and bought numerous items that require an oven to cook. The apartment had no oven (also no microwave, but this was expected as it's not listed). So, we wasted money and food that we could not cook; this should be corrected. Also, some soap and shampoo would have done wonders to help us feel more welcome at a short-term stay location like this.

No macrowave, bathroom with door open in master and outside too in the hallway. Not enough pots for cooking. No mop in the kitchen. Bathroom did not drain well. Curtains not dark enough. Too much light come in .
