Dove Cottage (Annex)

Erg schoon appartement. De auto kan je gratis op de oprit parkeren.

De locatie. Het appartement zit gevestigd naast een bedrijf. de eigenaar parkeert zijn bus midden op straat. Je moet vragen of je er mag parkeren, maar moet hierbij wel wachten wanneer het hem goed uitkomt. Daarnaast begint het bedrijf om 6:00 uur 's ochtends. Dit hoor je heel goed vanuit de slaapkamer. Wanneer het raam dicht is klinkt het alsof je buiten staat. Daarnaast hoor je heel duidelijk rond 7:30 de meeuwen wakker worden. Bij aankomst vriendelijk ontvangen. Echter is de gastvrouw na ondertekenen papieren snel vertrokken zonder uitleg van het appartement. Op tafel lag een briefje van het wachtwoord van de WIFI. Dit wachtwoord klopte echter niet. In de woonkamer staat een bankje. Hier kun je echter niet comfortabel op zitten/liggen. In de slaapkamer staat een twijfelaar. Hier met z'n 2en in liggen is erg krap. Daarnaast erg warm in de zomer.

The property was very pleasant and modern. It was well equipped. The bread, butter and milk was a really nice touch too - it made us feel very welcome. The parking right in front of the cottage, on a quiet dead end road was great. Very safe. Plenty of space for our small car. The shower was very nice and hot but my partner mentioned that the water pressure was lower than she would have liked. I didn't notice any issues with water pressure. This accommodation helped us have a good trip with all the privacy that we needed. It was a few minutes walk from shops, and a few minutes driving from a big Tesco. We used Workington as a base to get into the western lake district. It took us just under an hour each day to do this.

Though I personally slept very well, my partner noted that the seagulls woke her up a lot. This is was somewhat mitigated with a good pair of earplugs. Most of this noise was through the single glazing bedroom window and the top floor.

Lovely property - great furnishings and very comfortable.

The accommodation was lovely... the bed was slightly on the small side but we made do. Nice clean property... Thank you Mark for providing lovely place we look forward to returning in the future.

As most people before me have mentioned, the parking... However, I understand that there is a business next door and you may not always get your parking spot straight away but we got parked eventually.

Really nice , cozy and clean . Perfect for a couple . Fresh Milk and bread provided . Calm athmosphere.

Problem with the parking.

Great apartment. Nice and comfortable and clean.

Would have appreciated a tour and a chat or even instructions about the place. It's not a massive negative, but I met the owner, I signed something and then she just walked out. A little odd

Host was very helpful in accommodating our late arrival. Will stay again when we can.

Car access is tight due to small lanes and can be blocked but can be worked around.

Clean fresh got all you need in town centre nice touch got bread butter milk we we arrived 👍
