"Initial enjoyment ended in unnecessary stress we wont go back."

beautiful old building amongst trees

no keys to lock rooms we had to cart Ipads and laptops with us whole weekend. The blinds on the roof windows were in tatters and could not close to keep sun out. For three nights stay we recieved one small bottle of milk for three people. The steps on the last landing is so smoothly worn that we slipped and slmost fell- an older person will fall and be injured. The auto open on the sucurity gate did not work and we had to struggle checking out and run around with remote to leave keys. The grid at the entrance gate is so damaged that the one rental car scraped its nose in the ditch and a sharp piece of steel damaged one of our tires. When we checked out we could not manage to get hold of the land lady on whats app to assist with leaving. What began as enjoyable stay turned in stressful experience.

"Calm and peaceful location in an isolated rural setting."

Comfortable beds in a rambling old proprty surrounded by peaceful and quiet countryside.

Isolated location away from the social amenities of towns like Franschhoek. Property needs some attention. The bathroom door easily gets jammed. Poor kitchen facilities.
