Vaggelio House

We had the most wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, Evangelia made us feel so welcome. She greeted us with delicious homemade sweets and a fridge full of refreshments, which was such a thoughtful touch after our journey. She was incredibly friendly, warm, and informative, always ready to give us helpful tips and recommendations. The place itself was absolutely stunning, spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and in a fantastic location. It was the perfect base for exploring the island. A special mention also goes to George, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable, we booked the van service for 3 days of our holiday. He kindly took us around the island, always ensuring we stayed hydrated with water and juices from the cooler in his car. He made sure we saw the very best spots and truly gave us full days of fun and adventure. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts, Evangelia and George made our trip extra special. We highly recommend staying here and would absolutely love to return!

Our hosts were great. Greeted us with a cooked meal, left us cakes, fruit and water. Helped us with organising transfers and taxis. Lovely people. Accommodation was fantastic. Very clean, lots of space, comfortable beds. Everything worked as it should. Terrific views from the balconies, couldn't ask for anything better. The location is beautiful. It's a mixture of modern and old. Some old buildings have been modernised and turned into hotels and spas etc. Other old majestic houses have been left as they were and are in a poor condition, but that all adds to the ambience of the place. It is truly wonderful. Out and about there are local bars and restaurants which were good value, or you can go a little further into old Chania which is absolutely buzzing. We had a fantastic family get together and holiday in our 4 weeks here, and if we return, the first place I will look up is Vaggelio House. p.s. The internet is very good.

Fantastic, generous, responsive host. Evangelia is amazing. Had delicious fruit and home-baked pastries and pies for us on arrival. Great suggestions for where to eat. Apartment in a quiet area with great sea views, easy parking and good coffee nearby. 15minute walk I to town along the beach front. Excellent.

Amazing hosts with a spacious, comfortable, clean, and conveniently located home. The apartment is very spread out providing several areas to gather or to "get away." Great amenities- for kitchen, bath, laundry, beach towels, etc. The view from the balcony is spectacular. The home is a short walk to downtown harbor (about 20 minutes). Plenty of shopping, restaurants in walking distance. On our arrival, the host, Evangelia, greeted us at her home with a wonderful meal, salad and pastry!! She is so sweet and the food was just wonderful! The hosts also provide airport transfers and rental cars- perfect!! We rented a car for our week stay and were able to do a day at Heraklion as well as some other Crete excursions (don't miss the Crete Botanical Garden). Hosts are so kind and accommodating. You will enjoy your Chania stay at Veggelio House.

Our only thought was the double bed mattress could use a topper (or replacement). But we stayed 6 nights so that is probably more noticeable to us.

A large and beautiful apartment just a short walk from the town along the coast. A quiet area with a few bars, restaurants and shops dotted around. The view was amazing. We visited during some cold December days and the heating a lot fire was a huge blessing. The owner is absolutely lovely. We would come back to Chania just for this house!

Very spacious and comfortable apartment. Clean and with all kind of amenities you may need. The balcony and the view are gorgeous. There is a parking spot if you rent a car. The hosts are great - as a compliment we have a prepared dinner for our first night there and it was excellent, also fruit and bottled water. Also the hosts offer transfer (payed) from/to the airport which enables very much your arrival at the spot.

The city center is about 20-30 min walking but the road is next to the sea and it is very beautiful and you may catch a sunset ;)

Fantastic place. Excellent sea view. Apartment had everything one could want. Host was super friendly (including buns in the oven for our arrival). Couldn’t ask for a better place. I didn’t want to leave.
