Anniston Farm Cottages

Cosy , peaceful and very friendly hosts. Convenient to tourist highlights. Would highly recommend this property!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anniston farm cottage. The property is nestled in a beautiful country setting. Stunning, views with rolling hills with lots of windows. The cottage itself was perfect, spacious, and well equipped, modern furniture and appliances, luxury in the beautiful countryside. Our favorite stay in Scotland. The hosts was incredibly friendly and helpful with restaurants and attractions. Two miles from the local grocery store,. Only a mile from the ocean. We loved the peace and quiet and the precious baby lambs.

A very well appointed property, with high end appliances and cookware etc good sized rooms, one bedroom property with two toilets was a welcome addition lovely location, beautiful courtyard, .. Ran by a very lovely couple Sinead and Dick

We feel we absolutely have to comment on this and it’s incredibly sad, but also quite embarrassing, after 48hrs of wondering what the incredibly sour smell was coming from the bedroom we discovered a very very badly stained and soiled pillow which we removed from the room, this did help somewhat.. However on leaving this morning we stripped the bed as we would in any location we stay, to help the cleaners with time etc, to discover the cleanliness of the underlying duvet and pillows were just not up to what we would have expected from such a lovely venue, it may be “end of season” but these should be cleaned or replaced there certainly shouldn’t be that smell.. we are sorry to write this in a review as is a beautiful venue, but didn’t want to cause embarrassment

Everything you need provided and lots of thought put into how to make it a comfortable space. Attractive decoration, paintings etc all enhance the ambience and blend well with the context of the converted farm buildings and surrounding countryside. The owners were warm, welcoming and informative on arrival and close at hand should you need anything. There were good clear instructions about how to dispose of rubbish for example. The area has lots to offer within easily reachable drives and the highlights include wonderful beaches; local food stuffs to try and wildlife to observe. Lots of castles and other historical places to visit too. This is not the dramatic landscape of the Scottish highlands, lochs or isles but has a charm of its own.Working farms and crops rolling to the seas and seaside villages and small towns that are not overrun by tourism.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable. One ground floor bedroom had an excellent large bathroom adapted for people with disabilities. It was ideal for a wheel chair user.

Enjoyed the quiet peaceful location.

This is a wonderful place for some quiet days in the Aberdeenshire countryside. Sheep and birds abound. Comfortable, charming and clean apartments in a recently converted former barn, with nice and responsive hosts. A car is needed to get there and to go around, great sights in Stonehaven/Dunottar, St. Cyrus, and Glenesk are within easy reach.
