Ferienapartment Kanzelhöhe an der Skipiste

It’s located in a beautiful spot in a ski and hiking center with an amazing view from the balcony and the living room window. There are many other apartments and a hotel in the same place, but in summer it’s extremely quiet and calm at an altitude of almost 1500 meters. It’s under the beautiful Gerlitzen peak which can be hiked or accessed by cable car. The apartment is great, comfy and well-equipped, only a microwave owen would be useful. You can do sports, great hikes direct from the spot, or easily reach Ossiachersee, Villach or Wörthersee by car.

The apartment was comfortable, good equipped. It is a little out of date, built in late 80’s, but very good maintained 👍. Everything what was promised, met our expectations😉. Suggestions for the owner: with small investment (up to 2k€) you can improve your offer, satisfaction and excitement of your customers. Induction hob, oven, small dishwasher, washing machine and toast grill will be convenient. Ventilation in the bathroom must be improved.

We did not find the switch for heating control. Perhaps our mistake😅. Faster and more stabile internet connection will be also welcome. Bad smell in the bathroom on the first day🤨. After we cleaned the toilet brush holder, it was better smell.

We liked the views, the hikes, the possibility of e-payment and e-registration.

The double bed and pillows are uncomfortable, the sofa was dirty and smelly, as is the cleanliness of the other floor surfaces. I spent half a day cleaning so that we could then live inside. The cleaning fee is high, so we expected cleanliness. We would have more trust in the owner if all costs were already included in the base price or exactly known when booking the vacation. We didn't like that all the costs were not exactly known in advance (taxes, dog fee). We paid first extra costs - the tax before leaving via a link sent by the owner (for two adults and 1 child it was 43.64 EUR). After arriving home, we received a new link from the owner to pay the tax (supposedly 2.4 EUR x 3 people x 7 nights) and the dog fee, which totaled 113 EUR. After asking what was included in the 113 EUR fee (our explanation that we paid the tax before leaving via e-registration), we learned that there had been an error and we were obliged to pay 50 EUR. If we hadn't asked, we would have had to pay the tax again. The ride to Gerlitzen was also supposed to be free (a 10-day road permit was waiting for us in the flat, but the latter was invalid on the day of departure and we had to pay the "toll" to Gerlitzen. The owner deducted the latter cost from the amount for the dog's expenses. We paid this second extra cost.

Everything was perfect. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. A lot of fun nearby. We will definitely come back.

Met our expectations, got the right directions from the host about location, picking the keys and using the card for the road and everything was perfect. Clean, warm and comfortable, possibility to use spa and restaurant in the next building. Free parking. We did not have a need to use the car during our stay as the slopes and the mountain is next to the complex.

The view and the facility was amazing. I did not realize when booking it that it was at the top of a mountain (although I should have). The entry road up the mountain was a bit scary at night after riding the motorcycle all day, but in the daylight it became far less so. Restaurant in the complex was good, vending area selection was limited but adequate.

Spa area in the complex was available but exorbitantly expensive. Vending area could have had English instructions -- had to figure it out by discovery learning.
