Everything! We couldn’t have found a more appealing property than The Cairnsmore Apartment for our 2 night stay in beautiful Lake Tekapo. It possessed all the finer touches and considerations that many others lack. Upon arrival we were personally greeted by the owner Chris and her sweet dog Lucy, who were so warm and welcoming. The women from the property office where we collected our key and initial instructions were equally warm and personable, even supplying us with a small, fresh bottle of milk and a map of the township and surrounds with recommendations on all the fun things to do and see close by. Arriving at the apartment we quickly realised we staying in a stunning location with views of the azzure lake, captured directly from a gorgeous sitting area in the king sized bedroom. We knew we’d be waking up to a special view each morning which in itself was most impressive. The entire apartment was also practical and chic in design, complete with modern furnishings and a cozy/intimate ambiance. There was oil supplied to cook with along with salt, pepper, herbs and spices, paper towels, cling wrap, and an array of special blend teas, coffee and sugar. Having access to these items was most welcomed and useful during our stay. The fantastic gallery styled laundry area (complete with a few books to read while you wait 👏) was also an added bonus with washing liquid and powder also generously and thoughtfully supplied. The washing machine and dryer were of great use to us, with a load of washing most helpful after 7 days of travel in Queenstown and along the west Coast before our arrival to Lake Tekapo. The king sized bed is possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had the pleasure of sleeping in apart from my own! There was a lot of thought involved in the way of bed covers, with 2 high quality doonas, a fresh fluffy blanket, high quality sheets and towels and an electric blanket!

Clean, beautiful view and building and had most everything (but an oven which I didn’t need)

Wi-Fi - had to reboot router 4 times and security settings not acceptable (a new router is not very expensive, recommend highly they upgrade)
