The views of the mountains

The heating did not work. The TV did not work. The apartment comes with no towels nor blankets by default (extra 15CHF/person). I overlooked the message with that info, no chance to get them upon arrival and nor shops to buy them nearby. Some of the kitchen appliances were not suitable and pretty old

The flat does have a good view. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs.

In terms of charges, I feel this is dishonestly priced. for us it was 90CHF per night but with a further 90CHF for cleaning. quite a lot for the size of the flat for a one night stay. I suspect this pricing approach helps to get bookings as it keeps the headline price below 100 euros/pounds/Swiss francs. What really bugged me though was the bedding. No bedding or towels are included and must be “rented” for a further 15CHF per person. This is hidden in the important information but in my opinion, not suitably surfaced for bookers. As a non refundable booking you will likely only realise this after booking at which point it is too late. For us that would have added a further 60CHF so I ended up buying my own bedding for half that. Still a waste of money for what even the worst hotel would give you as part of the room. I would note it was not that clean with some hairs around and the duvets stained as photographed. It also got very cold in the middle of the night so we didn’t get a good rest. The location is bizarre. This is just one of several similar blocks with about 30-40 flats. The area was deserted. I would guess maybe only one or two flats were occupied. It was all left unlocked so we just had to help ourselves. I would think this would feel very unsafe to loan travellers. It was a bit creepy really. I was in two minds whether to review on the above basis but note other reviewers have made similar observations on the charges and cleaning. Having read some of those I am glad I didn’t drop a further 60CHF on that. Some also didn’t even get toilet paper.

The view from the apartment balcony was exceptional. The facilities were exactly as described in the posting.

The floors of the apartment were slightly dusty.
