Location was fine as were the facilities generally. The property was well designed and it should have been a pleasant stay despite minor irritations like, on our arrival, dishwasher still running from previous occupancy; cleaning superficial (dusty furniture in bedrooms); broken fittings that are easily repairable; very small bath towels; only a single teabag left for 3 people BUT …..

The constant stench of drains from the downstairs en-suite shower room was offensive and unacceptable. Beyond belief is that the owner continues to offer the property for rental with that knowledge. I should have read the reviews that date back a couple of years, making the same complaints, but mistakenly I just went with the very good overall rating given.
