The space and comfort

Nice.

We had a great stay in Franschoek. Our primary reason for being in the area was to spend a couple of days on the wine tram. The stop is a 10 min walk from the apt. The apt is very comfortable - we were only 2 people but 4 people could have easily stayed. It has everything that you could need. Plus shops, restaurants and supermarkets are literally 2 mins walk. We were very happy to have parking onsite for our hire car. I would highly recommend this apt.

A safety deposit box for valuables would have been helpful. There is a large plate of glass that sits on the floor in front of the fireplace. We believe to protect against fire. It’s not shown in the photos of the property. The glass is very large at 1.5m x 1m. It would be easy to step on it … we moved the chairs to avoid any accidental damage. With small children this might not be the best solution.

Exceeded our expectations on all criteria. The apartment is in an enclosed area with a restaurants, etc. The gates to the area closes in the evenings and you MUST take the keys with you to ensure that you can return. Therefore ensure that you let Denise and Vanessa, the owners/hosts, know if you only will be checking in after dark for the first time. There is undercover parking, however it is unlikely that one will find it without detailed instructions, which they will provide, however ensure that you have it before you arrive, else, there is ample parking on the streeet

Perfect location, attention to detail in the apartment, clean and spacious.

Nothing

Very cute and central location, in the midst of shops and restaurants yet quiet in the evening and night. The place is spacious and has AC in every room.

For us the parking was quite problematic. While it is in a safe and covered garage, to get there you have to take a very narrow bend on a slope. You could see where other cars had hit the walls on both sides and with our Toyota Corolla cross it was quite stressful to get in and out of the parking (needed to go back and forth a couple of times in the bend on the slope, with very little space to maneuver). So make sure you are a confident driver with not too big a car.

Quirky property in the most central location possible!

Key could be left on the lock box rather than needing to be picked up outside town.
