Studio Central Grindelwald

Incredibly spacious room! It was in the heart of Grindelwald and incredibly close to many restaurants, shops, bakeries, and the train station. It was a walk away from the Glacier Ice Canyons and Grindelwald-First which was super convenient as well! The owner was easy to communicate with and the directions to find our unit were easy to follow. The room had many amenities including a tv that has preinstalled Netflix/Prime/Youtube, stove top and oven, utensils, portable chargers, etc. Overall a lovely stay, great location and a great space!

You have to pay the tourist tax in cash and can drop off your luggage at the Grindelwald bakery if you arrive prior to check-in time - which is completely fine. Unfortunately the staff we spoke to at the bakery didn't know about this booking and was unable to assist at all until we went back later and spoke w/ someone else who was knowledgeable. This was a bit frustrating but luckily we also bumped into the cleaning lady at the same time who was able to direct us as well as put our luggage in our room after cleaning.

Centrally located and real great value!

Excellent location in the heart of Grindelwald. Very convenient for the train station or getting to the slopes. We liked having a private kitchen and being able to cook breakfast.

We arrived late at night to pull back the duvet and find the sheets dirty, with brown patches and filled with hair. We called the host who was in Bern and he told us where to find clean sheets so we had to change them ourself and have dirty sheets sitting in the room the whole stay. Tried to go to the bakery to pay the tourist tax as required several times but they had no idea what we were talking about which took time out of our holiday, and eventually they said we didn’t have to pay. After checking out the host said he was covering the tax as compensation. Never got an apology for the uncleanliness. Received messages telling us that if the flat was left dirty they would charge us. This place is expensive but cheaper by local standards… expected better service. Also the pillows are terrible - please replace them.

It was perfect location and easy for us to navigate to and from! Had everything we needed to feel settled.
