Txoriak - Basquenjoy

Appartement très agréable et tout mignon, idéalement situé. Un parking gratuit est à deux pas, avec beaucoup de places disponibles( en novembre). En plein coeur du centre historique magnifique, avec de bons restaurants à proximité. Nous y avons très bien dormi, les lits sont très confortables. Nous avons pu profiter de la côte Basque Française et Espagnole. Je le conseil vivement.

Il y 3 petits étages à monter sans ascenseur mais nous le savions et cela ne nous a pas dérangé.

Amazing location, right next door to a beautiful restaurant 'Tatapas Gastroteka' which turned out to be our favourite of the trip and we revisited frequently. A short walk to so many great restaurants and bars in the surrounding picturesque streets, but also the eateries on the bustling high street. Honestly, just amazing food and drink every way you turn! Enjoyable easy 30 min stroll to the beach and 5 mins to supermarket and buses for further afield travel. The beach was so pleasant, clean (in fact everywhere was so clean) and stress free with some cracking waves. The apartment itself is perfect, with enough in the kitchen to prep the occasional meal from home- and Netflix was a nice home comfort. Great shower. Cute little balcony over the square so you feel part of the hubbub, with perfect view to spot a free table in the restaurants below... :) Also strongly recommend a hike to the vineyards. What a great holiday! Thank you. Restaurant recommendations: Tatapas Gastroteka, Mika, Alameda, Asador Sutan, Hontza Cocktail Bar, Bar Conchita and really wish we could have tried Gastroteka Danontzat, but it was fully booked! Most you will need to pre-book.

We did a day trip to Hendaye, and maybe it was because of the weather (which was pretty grey and drizzly), but it just didn't live up to Hondarribia, but the 7min boat back was fun! There aren't many flights to/from San Sebastian and travel to and from Biarritz airport can be a little tiring- bus, 2 trains, bus, so make sure you suss this out in advance of travelling home, as these can be infrequent. Try to book a few restaurants in advance! But be prepared to queue or stalk tables on the main strip that don't always take bookings. Worth it though :) For any English visitors (which are few and far between!) most places shut up shop between 3 & 7 just to be aware. We've left behind a parasol we bought, as these aren't available to rent on the beach and don't fit our luggage allowance - but think this would be a nice addition to the air bnb for future travellers :)
