2 Bedroom Garden House Polanco

Location was convenient, property manager very nice, and doormen as well. Apartment very spacious, quite comfortable, kitchen well equipped, excellent restaurant stove, deep sink but no colander to drain pasta--just small plastic sieve. Kitchen stocked with good coffee, olive oil. Only place I've stayed with enough plates, cutlery and glasses. Also mops, bleach and cleaning supplies. Big plus to have the washer and dryer. Nice patio. Clean.

Extremely dark, especially on the garden level, darkest apartment I have ever been to, lighting used was insufficient, cast a blue-white light that felt so gloomy. Seven bulbs were burned out the Saturday evening I arrived, so I had to wait till Monday for new ones to be installed, and even then, it was still dark. Bathrooms also very dark even when all lights on--cannot do make up with the wattage available--have to go to bedroom and stand by a window. Just two shallow hooks directly above toilet to hang bath towels. The two bedrooms have tvs mounted to the walls, but they are not connected to any wifi or cable, so completely not useable. The only working tv is downstairs in the dark and gloomy living area. The double height lounge area with two sofa beds behind the living area has 4 bulbs in the ceiling, all burned out. So dark you could develop old fashioned film there. Manager says they lack ladder to change them, but those telescoping poles made expressly to change bulbs in high ceilinged rooms would cheaply and easily remedy this, as would placing table or standing lamps in the area. It is spacious and a wasted opportunity. Lots of potential here to be a great stay just by changing out light bulbs for higher wattage, natural warm light ones, adding lamps to the sleeping areas, an inexpensive metal colander for draining pasta, washing vegetables.

I'm really very satisfied with all aspects!! Really wonderful!!
