Apartment Ahornisegg - GRIWA RENT AG

This is a wonderful holiday flat in a lovely chalet in a quiet part of Grindelwald. The apartment has been newly renovated to the highest standards, and we were delighted with the spacious living area and well organized kitchen, with everything we needed. There's a big smart TV, and plenty of power points. The flat has masses of cupboards, so there's loads of space to put away your things. The views from the balcony and main room are exceptional - you look out over the Eiger and the glacier. It's just a ten minute walk into town, and 15 minutes to the station. If you're there by car, the garage space is very valuable - though it's a bit tight for a big car. We found the managing agents, GriwaRent, really helpful and accommodating.

We were disappointed that the third bedroom was so very small - it really is for kids, with bunk beds. (We were mostly four adults and a tiny baby, but when two more adults dropped in for a few days, it wasn't so comfortable for them - though they said they didn't mind). That said, there was an extra "box room" that was very useful. The shower towels are also quite small, as is the bathroom. Note that there's no bath - only a shower.

The local was perfect just on the edge of town.

The pillows were paper thin!
