Domus Castrum

The domus is very conveniently located next to the old castle of Naxos, walking distance from the port and shops. Perfect for an early morning swim at the portara. The host is extremely helpful and made us feel at home in her beautiful apartment.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. Emanuela the host was amazing, and very attentive. She offered clear instructions of the location of the premises and even offered to pick us up from the port. Upon arriving at Domus (about 10 min walk from the port) she met us and showed us around. The property was clean, spacious with a very nice rustic decoration. It had all the required amenities and a full fridge and cupboards with shopping. We had items for breakfast that lasted through the whole duration of our stay and many more. The host baked us an amazing cheese pie as a welcome gift as well as she provided “graviera cheese “ with salami and wine for light bites. We felt extremely welcomed and well taken care of. She provided us with a map filled with info about locations to visit, restaurants and shops. Naxos is a big island compare to the rest in Cyclades so you will need a car to go around. Domus is but a 15-20min drive to the famous Prokopios beach and adjacent to the property there is a big parking that you can leave your car for free.

The apartment was perfect for the two of us. It's right in the old town of Naxos, so everything was within walking distance, but still very quiet. The host was super friendly!! She picked us up from the ferry, which was so kind of her. When we arrived at the apartment She had prepared a few snacks for us, which was super thoughtful of her! She completely exceeded our expectations. The apartment was very clean and had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked really well. Even when coming back from a long day the apartment was nice and cool (without AC). The kitchen also has most things you would need, but we found it was perfect for simple cooking such as eggs for breakfast, pasta and salad. For more complex meals I'd say there is not enough room too cook. But Naxos has wonderful restaurants that are all very affordable and the food is just so fresh. Our favorites were Doukato & Apostili, which our host recommended. If you want to explore the island with all the amazing beaches you need to rent a car, which we did at Moustaki rental. Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend staying here!!!

Beautiful apartment , clean , with all the necessary amenities. A fridge full of amazing things . The location was amazing in the center and 2 minutes walking from the bus station . I loved every detail about this house . Emmanuela ,the owner is a very sweet woman that she does everything to make you feel like home .

The attention to detail is impeccable and everything you could possibly wish for is provided. From being picked up at the port to making sure the fridge was full for our stay, and a homemade pie and wine waiting for us - it was all superb. Emmanuella gave us lots of local tips for restaurant bars and site seeing which we followed and they excelled too.

The outdoor space is tiny at the bottom of the stairs but as the apartment is built into the Venetian castle walls in a great location you can forgive this.

I can’t describe how nice was this apartment . The location was great , close to all the taverns and restaurants. We had a very beautiful welcome with all the necessary things that someone needs for his holidays .

I liked mostly the location , this house is a part of the old Venetian Castle , in the center of Naxos . The owner was very kind and she made the whole experience better .

It was the perfect place for our perfect vacation on the island. We recommend it to everyone who wants to feel the real Greece.
