The people staying there were friendly. The beaches nearby were nice and there's a good hike (both only if you have a car). The bed was fairly comfy. It was quiet.

Honestly, I would not recommend if you don't have a car. I was very lucky that a couple of people staying at the hostel gave me a ride to the airport/beach, but otherwise I'd have been stuck. If you look at the map and think, no worries I'll walk, I also thought this but there is no pavement/sidewalk and it's quite dangerous. I just about managed to walk into la Trinité, but it's on a main road with lots of blind corners. Walking to Tartane isn't possible, it would be far too dangerous. The host wasn't there the whole time of my stay; there were a couple of people from WorkAway who greeted me. The kitchen isn't well equipped (there only seemed to be two bowls?) and what's there mostly seems outdated/very well used. It would be good to have mosquito nets at the windows - you absolutely need the windows open to sleep in the heat but it lets in all the bugs, everyone was getting bitten a lot. There are no keys - everything is just left open. I didn't feel unsafe at all, though I wasn't 100% happy that in theory anyone could walk in and take my belongings. The water pressure in the bathroom isn't great - you have to leave it running for a few minutes to heat up before using the shower.
