Amazing Cozy Apartment in Condesa

The neighborhood is cute. The apartment has enough space. Good TV.

The 3 flights of stairs were narrow and no handrail. We had difficulty getting hot water to stay on long enough to finish our showers, beds were hard and we had ants. You have no trash collection point in the building so you have to be home at noon and run downstairs with your garbage when the trash truck rings a bell. We had excursions planned for all of our four days and could not stay home to wait for the garbage truck.

The Airbnb doesn't have a number on the outside and the address on booking actually takes you a block further. The lockbox no longer has the distinguishing sticker on it so it took us a while to find the place. The flat is three steep flights up - I don't remember reading this in the description. So I wouldn't recommend it if you have mobility issues. Also there was no drinking water and the suggestion was to not use plastic and go to the closest shop and fill the 20litre jug - whilst i appreciate the eco vibe, I would not have been able to carry that up three floors.

Helpful host in excellent,safe area. Huge TV and hot shower with good pressure.

Poorly equipped kitchen ( no salt or pepper )and we had to buy basic utensils. Had to scrub water dispenser due to mould build up..Unable to get 2 of the stove burners or oven going. Single mattress very firm but others ok. No airconditioning or fans so would be hot in summer ( no problem in October). Very basic overall but inexpensive

The location is great if your are going to the museums and park.

I wish I knew about the water jug you can trade with the pharmacy across the street prior to arrival. I had bought plastic bottles of water before arriving.

Great location, you get what you see. As mentioned before, 3 stairs to get to the apartment (4th floor). One key is available. Hot water comes from an instantaneous water heater which produces 8 liter per minute of hot water endless. It’s not a boiler as mentioned before. Windows of kitchen and living room facing towards the courtyard, windows of bath and bedrooms towards the street (all can be opened). Streets are calm during night. Safe surrounding. There is a Walmart 230m down the street (3 min walking distance) with a Citybank ATM. Cash withdrawal is only about MXN 30 (as of feb 2024). Great host who speaks English too. Uber was available all times. If you need an eSim I would suggest Airalo. Works fine throughout Mexico.

Good value. Located in a “normal” apartment building so it feels like you are one of the people from the hood. The place has a warm, creative heart, somehow. Worked well for a family w/ three small kids and good to have a supermarket so close. Quiet area but well located.

Just be aware of that the aptmt is on third floor with no elevator. Otherwise can’t think of that much.

It was a very lovely silent apartment in a great location, very stylish as well.

We were 4 people so we were a bit afraid of running out of water, because the boiler was saying max 8l, but we were showering fast and it was ok, just that maybe one little thing, the rest was great!
