Studio Balkoni

We’ve been traveling for 30 years. This is probably the best view we ever had. Could sit on the balcony all day. The host was super responsive. If you have a car you can park free about 50 meters away. The apartment had everything you need. It’s a short walk to the small village center. The apartment is small but very clean and you’ll want to spend time on the balcony anyway.

What a sweet place to stay! This was a small studio with everything you would need to visit Milos. There was an efficiency kitchen with basics for simple food prep. The bathroom was small but with an extra space adjacent. The bed was either a small double or a 3/4. We were fine, but may be problematic for bigger people. There was parking two minutes from the room. The best part of the room was the balcony! It was equipped with chairs and a table, a drying rack and AN AMAZING VIEW! We had breakfast and a couple of dinners there. The room was right in Plaka, so there was always somewhere to go at night. Great restaurants and cute shops just a 5 minute walk. Be prepared for stairs!

Great location with an amazing view. Bed was very comfortable and the manager Elana was very welcoming and helpful. She even gave us suggestions for restaurants, places to visit and activities to do on the island. We booked our own boat to go to kleftiko for the day and that was the best part of our trip, highly recommend.

The bed was on the smaller side but was fine for our size but maybe not for others. Also the kitchenette was lacking utensils such as a larger cutting knife and more stuff to cook up some smaller meals. Otherwise everything else was amazing.

Great location, just in the center of Plaka. The view is amazing. There is a free small parking space nearby, and a bigger one 5 minutes walking from there.

Cleaning can be improved. If you are uncomfortable with insects, you should be aware that the property faces a green area where insects are (of course) present.

Stunning view from the balcony with gorgeous sunsets, well equipped and superb location,very easy to reach the village above. Host gave great reviews and was always quick to respond to my questions. Would love to return in the future!

Overall, Studio Balkoni was a nice place to stay. It is a little difficult to find and we weren't able to connect with our host initially upon arrival.. which led us to accidentally walk into the neighboring hotel (Studio Betty) but after showing them our booking, they were incredibly kind and were able to walk us next door to the correct room. The door was unlocked and we found the keys and were shortly able to connect with our Host. Elena was able to meet us at the room and explain the various things to do around Milos and recommend some nice restaurants/activities as well as help us try to book a scooter to move around the island. We received a complimentary bottle of wine and Bottle of water when we checked in which was very nice after a long day of traveling. The area of Plaka is incredibly nice to walk around in the evenings after a sunset at the church nearby and it was very nice to have our room in this area.

The one somewhat surprising thing about the room is it is below the entire swimming pool of the above unit. This didn't particularly bother us.. but if that sort of thing concerns you, I'd try to book another room. You could hear the pool cleaner shuffling about above you in the morning (around 9am).

Totally overpriced. When you pay 150€ a night for such a tiny place you expect the experience to be perfect. And we were far away from the perfection. Water leaking woke us up at 5 am until 7 (noise of the water falling in the kitchen = the bedroom), and water was leaking on the electric wires of the kitchen!! After reviewing the comments, we saw that it happened several times in the past, and not been solved then. Maybe this will be considered seriously when an accident will happen? When complaining to our contact in the morning, we didn’t get any apology but a “you should have told me at 5 am, you didn’t do so don’t complain”.
