San Antonio Luxury Apartments, Medieval Town

Great location, nice shared courtyard comfortable bed. Rooms are spacious. We had constant problems with streaming services, so gave up in the end. A nice bottle f wine on arrival, which alas smashed out of the fridge as the shelf was broken, however our host kindly replaced it for us. We were given lots if restaurant suggestions to help us plan

We had to request an ironing board, no biggie, but just a little inconvenience. Most apartments these days don’t provide those little extras like oils.

The apartment is on a 2-block long narrow street in the medieval city. Upon landing, I made contact with the host via WhatsApp. He told us which gate to come to. The host greeted us outside the gate with a golf cart to transport us to the apartment. Gave us the keys and a brief run-through. There is one room downstairs with a kitchenette, dining table, chairs and access to an interior courtyard which is shared with another apartment. The other apartment was not occupied our first two nights. A couple arrived the 3rd night and were a bit noisy but not too late. In the morning we shared pleasantries and stayed on our side of the divider. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, 2-burner stovetop, kettle, espresso machine and toaster. We managed to make an American egg , toast & bacon breakfast. It would be tiresome to make more elaborate meals. The other rooms are up the tiny staircase. We hauled our bags up as there was no room downstairs to access them. We utilized the vertical iron bars for support going up and down. This is not for those with mobility issues or a need to get to a bathroom quickly. Upstairs there is a sitting room with large sofa and TV. We put one suitcase on the table there. Beyond that are the best rooms, the large queen bedroom and large bathroom with washing machine. Off the bedroom is a very large terrace with chaise lounge chairs. The view is out over adjacent back yards, some just ruins and weeds. Could see the masts of sailboats. It was very pleasant and private. The bed was very comfortable with quality linens. One of us was not well and this room was a pleasant retreat in which to rest with the bathroom nearby. Everything was beautifully finished, decorated and very clean. It is very convenient to the sights in the old quarter, the supermarket, restaurants and the Olympic car rental outside the gate.

The day before departure, the host asked when we'd be leaving and suggested the best pickup time for the golf-cart transport. He said he'd arrange it, but no one came by the agreed time, so I whatsapp'd him. He replied it would be 15 minutes. We ended up getting to our taxi about 20 minutes later than arranged. Luckily our taxi was waiting for us and got us to the airport on time. Those internal stairs were really inconvenient. The photos of the two apartments are intermingled and are not labeled, making it hard to tell which belong to which apartment. Also, shared the interior courtyard now has a divider.

In the heart of the old town, this gem is beautifully furnished, private and has excellent facilities. - Easy self check in - Two stories and plenty of space. With individual rooms, you have space separately for dining, lounging, bathing, sleeping and sunbathing on the roomy terrace - The facilities are amazing, plenty of stocked up coffee and tea, which serves a delicious coffee. Kitchen supplies which are clean. A clean front loading washing machine and you are provided with laundry pods (they have really thought of everything) whith hanging facilities on the terrace. Comfy loungers and seaters outdoors. The towels and linen are high quality and bed comfy and clean. elegantly designed. - We had a hire car and found you can park anywhere on the sea front side for free, you may have to drive around a couple of times to find a spot but you will get one eventually, even snug against the old town walls. - The walk from the car is easy enough and cobbles are expected, so don't complain if you have lots of luggage, it's an ancient old town in the heart of Rhodes. plenty of places to pit stop for a drink.

Nothing, it was more than we expected.

We rented 2 adjacent apartments with another couple. That worked perfectly as we could easily share facilities such as the lovely communal courtyard. Everything worked perfectly, great shower and comfortable bed. The highpoint is the location in the old town, very quiet and yet in the medieval centre of things. The cleaning service was exceptional with fresh towels etc twice within the week. And Marta our host was very helpful.

We booked both apartments as we were travelling with my daughter, son inlaw, and 2 year old grand daughter. The apartment was located in the old town and not too far from one of the entrance gates. The apartments were very clean, and the little courtyard was lovely to sit and enjoy a frappe or for our grand daughter to run around. Being in the heart of Rhodes old town was a great experience. Our hosts were wonderful and answered requests within minutes. We requested a later checkout as our ferry didn't leave till 5pm, and they were happy for us to stay as they didn't have a booking that night, which was so much more convenient and a relief for us. We definitely recommend this accommodation if you're looking at staying and exploring old town. Lots of museums to see and the Palace of the Grand master of the knights of Rhodes is a must to see.

A beautifully decorated flat! Good facilities and there were small but really nice touches, like the quality of cutlery and crockery, that show the hosts really care about the quality of the apartment. Compact but very well suited for what we needed. Cleaning supplies provided too which we really appreciated! Hosts were really lovely and accommodating as we had very awkward flight times! Gave lots of great recommendations, such as… Decan Bistro literally around the corner was our go-to breakfast each day! Overall the apartment really contributed to us having a great holiday as we had a luxurious and comfortable flat to come back to each evening.

Absolutely loved staying in this apartment. It is in an excellent location in the heart of the old town. The apartment is beautifully decorated and such a fabulous place to spend a holiday. We didn’t want to leave. We never met the owners but they were in touch before we got there to make sure we could access the property effortlessly and very helpful when we left. I would definitely recommend choosing this property and I would love to stay here again next time we come to Rhodes!
