Appartamento Giovanna

The hosts Mario and his son were exceptionally nice. They responded quickly to all questions we had. We were welcomed with delicious local products and even received more during the week. We have never had such a kind and caring host.

Mario greeted us to give us the keys and was so thorough and helpful. He told us a bit about the town, showed us where everything was and the apartment even provided complimentary pasta, pesto, brioche cakes, beer, red wine and sparkling wine! The views from the apartment were amazing! (I am now in love with Riomaggiore). It was easy to get to from the train station with luggage (elevator, then ramps/paths, only once you got closer to the apartment were there some stairs - but way more manageable than some other houses there!) On our second night, Mario came over to tell us that they had called a “red weather alert” for the following day, and that all the shops/restaurants in the main part of town would be closed. He VERY KINDLY had also brought us more beer, wine and offered for us to come to his house (upstairs) if we needed more pasta, all of which was very kind of him. Apartment Giovanna went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Everything was as it looked in photos, probably even bigger than I expected to be honest. The washing machine was also a bonus :)

I wanted to be sure and take the time to leave a stellar review. The apartment is absolutely wonderful!! The hosts have thought of everything and the amenities and appliances are top notch! Our stay was such a great way to land in Cinque Terre and I’m so grateful we were able we book this space for a few days! Thank you so much Giovanna and Mario for all your sweet hospitality! ❤️

Spacious for two, washing machine, hospitality of hosts

The apartment is very large, with a full kitchen, washing machine, and the most beautiful views. Great location. Easy walk down to town. Mario and Paolo are the most gracious and kind and generous hosts. If you don’t know Italian, no problem!! We loved staying here and hope to return one day.

A great view, though access is not that easy but it's necessary for the view. Host provided a good hospitality. Inside of the place was fantastic for a family with kids.

Beautiful, spacious, clean and perfectly equipped apartment with a wonderful, caring host. Close to the castle, a few minutes walk from the train station and the center, great view from the windows. Thank you for all the support, information and hospitality you gave us during these few wonderful days. For me it was the best stay in a dozen or so years and I recommend it to anyone planning a shorter or longer stay in Riomaggiore. Grazie!
