Amore Cove Apartment - Riomaggiore - 5 terre

This was a nice 2-bedroom apartment. The second bedroom was up a narrow set of stairs on the second floor. We didn’t use it except to borrow the pillows (we both sleep with two). The apartment sits high up above the town via a very steep hill. The owner was kind enough to order a taxi to get us and our bags up the hill upon arrival - thank you. Rolling them downhill on our departure was easy. The apartment is quite nice with a lovely and roomy balcony looking to the sea and off to the vineyards. Very scenic. The living room area had a large table and a large, comfortable couch and the kitchen was large enough and functional. The bed was also very comfortable but the bedroom allowed a lot of morning light in – we slept with eyeshades. The Becarra trail begins (or ends) just below the apartment and you can see the very steep ascending stairs from the balcony. We hiked it to Manarola from our apartment – no train needed to start! From Manarola, the Volastra trail takes you over the top (another steep ascent) and down to Corniglia since the lower Blue Trail section there is closed. We broke the hike between the 5 villages into two days: first day on the Blue Trail from Monterosso to Vernazza and on to Corniglia, and the second as described from Riomaggiore to Manarola to Corniglia. Great hikes and beautiful villages!

The bedroom lets in a lot of morning light - no blackout curtains - which can be problematic for light sensitive sleepers. We both slept with our eyeshades on and we were fine. The hill up to the apartment is quite steep but, as many people make note, if you are coming to Cinque Terre you must expect hills. It is not a place for people with reduced mobility.

Très bien situé, avec vue sur la montagne, la mer et le village. Parking très pratique au pied de l'immeuble. Appartement très propre, grand et fonctionnel. Petit déjeuné sur la terrasse face à la mer. Accès direct au village et départ de randos.

Tout était parfait, Le seul point négatif serait le manque de vaisselle mise à disposition, et le lave vaisselle qui ne fonctionnait pas.

Alles war super. Die Zimmer und die Lage sind top.

Es gibt nichts zu kritisieren.

Attention aux nombreux escaliers pour arriver a l appartement et aussi la hauteur des plafonds de la salle de bain du haut..pour les grands ?😀

It was ideal for 2 couples, the location was good it was up the hill but almost everything is in Riomaggiore

The second bathroom had a very low roof so difficult to use without banging your head. A lot of ants in and on the kitchen worktop (we didn’t leave food out)

Prachtig uitzicht, ruime en schone accommodatie. Tijdens het verblijf is de vaatwasser gerepareerd, heel fijn. Vriendelijke host (contact via WhatsApp). Twee badkamers, een heerlijk balkon en een terras.

Niets. Je moet wel een goede conditie hebben, om er te komen moet je veel trappen op. Maar hierdoor heb je wel het beste uitzicht van Riomaggiore.
