Estate Riomaggiore

Wonderful stay. We had two apartments travelling with family. Accomodation was great in town 1. Beautiful town with plenty of restaurants at bottom of the hill.

Clean.

Host was rushed when we got there and seemed bothered by my questions.

Location was great. Definitely appreciated the washing machine, onsite parking, and free grocery items. If you have the chance, head up to the top terrace!

The bed felt like a blow-up mattress and wasn't very comfortable. Lots of stairs too! Be careful you don't take the wrong ones up.... your legs will be sorry :)

The hosts were very nice and we liked the size/layout of the home. The amenities provided matched the detail of the booking.

It was the highest house away from down so anticipate to walk a lot. Not easily accessible (lots of stairs). 10 minute walk to the train station. Those with large bags, anticipate using a cab.

View from the terrace over Riomaggiore was wonderful, and our exceptionally responsive host Loretta really went out of her way to make our stay pleasant (and help restore power when the thunderstorms tripped the circuit not one but twice). Plenty of towels and a welcome bottle of Cinque Terre wine and milk were all nice touches. A public lift was a short walk away.

We enjoyed our stay so these are all minor areas of improvement: The flat was quite dark and could certainly benefit from larger or Velux windows. The kitchen light was broken and the living room one had a constant flicker. Limited headroom area in many areas, but that’s just nature of the apartment and something to be mindful of.
