Dean End Apartment 2

The apartment was spacious and well maintained. It was warm and very comfortable. Towels were given along with milk, tea, coffee and treats. Michelle was very helpful and just a text away if needed. Great location for things we wanted to do. A large booklet was on hand for ideas. The area is quiet and very pretty. Just what we needed. Would recommend and would definitely return.

Sadly the upstairs neighbours were constantly banging around at all hours. But maybe that was emphasized by the stillness of the area..

Michelle was a very pleasant host. She came to the property when we called her and gave us a tour around the apartment with recommendations for the best pub nearby! The welcome food hamper and treats were a lovely touch. The apartment is well appointed. It was lovely to sit at the dining table with the sun streaming in! The bed was comfy, plenty of storage space and lovely spacious shower. We booked the apartment as we required two beds and from the description we were expecting a sofa bed, however Michelle provided a single z-bed instead which did the trick. The log burner was a lovely with the tray of kindling provided.

A little unsure how we were going to get the keys. Had to call Michelle on arrival and she came out with them. I was really looking forward to sitting on the decking overlooking the garden as per the picture, however since the main property was sold, this is now fenced off with a 6-foot high fence which was very disappointing. The photos should be changed to show this. (Photo attached.) The postcode of the property takes you to another house's gated driveway. By this time you have driven past the apartment. Clear directions and signage outside the property would be an improvement. On the app, the list of facilities looks like there is more on-site, but the website is correct in that they are off-site.

Clean and tidy, high ceilings, large living area, well equipped.

Spacious apartment with good facilities. Very comfortable. Michelle was an excellent host and provided some treats upon arrival which was most welcome as I arrived late. She even came and found me as I got a bit lost as it was dark.

The apartment was lovely and very well equipped. Perfectly located to explore The Forest of Dean, Hereford and Gloucester. It was very clean although some parts are starting to look a bit tired. We were left an amazing food hamper with lots of essentials and extra goodies too. Michelle guided us to the property over the phone when we got a little lost in the dark but we soon got there. Also, plenty of logs for the wood burner which were needed to keep the property warm (it was March and very snowy 😊).

Just a matter of opinion really but we found the bed very uncomfortable (it may be perfect for other travelers). The TV being on the wall was a bit high for me, I got neck ache looking up at it but again this was personal preference. Lastly, no fault of the hosts, the upstairs neighbours are easily heard walking about, if only they had carpets 😁 and they are early risers so as we were there for plenty of R&R vacuuming at 08:30 on a Sunday morning was a bit hard to take.
