Perfekte Wohnung in der Altstadt von Wernigerode. Alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Wohnung perfekt ausgestattet .Hier bleiben keine Wünsche offen . Sehr nette Gastgeber ! Parkplatz im Hof eingezäunt. Viele sehr gute Restaurangs in der Nähe. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the beautiful historic town of Wernigerode.  This really is one of the prettiest places in Germany, and definitely has our recommendation for travellers. We are part way through our 10 week train trip through Europe and the UK,  and Wernigerode has been a highlight.  What made our visit even more special was the wonderful accommodation we had booked in Wernigerode.  Having made reservations in lots of different apartments for this trip through Booking.com, we found the standard of accommodation does vary considerably.  However the very best we have stayed in so far has been the one owned and managed by Doris and Frank.  This is a small  complex of above-average apartments  located a short walk from the railway station,  and in the heart of Wernigerode town.  You could not ask for a better location.   The apartment was very large, modern and spacious, and well fitted out.  What made our stay memorable was the excellent service we received from Doris and Frank, before, during and after our brief stay. They communicated with us well, and allowed us to check in early to coincide with our train journey.  In addition to the apartment being of a very high standard, there was a lovely outdoor sitting area where guests could enjoy a drink in the sun.  Most accommodation we have stayed in has self check in arrangements,  with little or no interaction with the proprietors.  However in Wernigerode we really felt very welcome by Doris and Frank.  Top marks to them. We had hoped to stay longer to chat with them the morning we left, however we had an early train to catch.  Attached are a couple of photos of the outdoor sitting area.
