Café Burgstraße

Not only was our room and stay perfect at Café Burgstraße, we felt as if we were being welcomed by family. There wasn't a single aspect could have been improved for ourselves. We stayed in a room at the front part of the property overlooking Burgstraße, which was like having an entire apartment to ourselves; small kitchen, dining room/living room with a table, "L" -shaped couch, TV, bright windows, a sizable bedroom with storage for clothes and such, and a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it by one day. Everything about the property was perfect; walking distance to everything in the beautiful old part of town. Restaurants, museums and activities surround the area, and having the most kind and helpful host(s) you could ever hope for made it a true joy to stay there. As far as every place we stayed at during our vacation this summer in Germany, this was by far the best. Staying/being above a bakery/pastry shop too? Who could ask for more?!? When we had planned activates in the morning we just bought a couple things to go, and when we had a sleep-in day, we took advantage of the high quality breakfast buffet with such variety that there was nothing more we could have asked for. This room rental, and the town its self, have made this a destination that we hope to visit again.

I honestly cannot think of anything that we did not like. During our summer Germany vacation we stayed at many places (and we are well-versed in travel in Germany having friends who live in the country, and we are both fluent in German). Café Burgstraße was, by far, the best place we stayed during our entire trip.

Die Unterkunft hat eine geräumige und sehr geschmackvolle Ausstattung. Sie liegt zentral, man kann fussläufig die wunderschöne Stadt Wernigerode erkunden. Die Gastgeber der Unterkunft sind sehr freundlich und äußerst zuvorkommend. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Large, clean, great location in the town. Very helpful staff. Above a cake shop!

A whole, comfortable apartment in a quiet (at night) part of time. Coffee place downstairs is great, including the breakfast. The owner speaks very good English is kind and friendly!

Good central location in the town. 10 minutes from railway station. Anja, who owns the apartment made me very welcome when i arrived. There is a cafe downstairs serving excellent breakfast.
