De Vuurtoren

I loved the property. The kitchen was much better equipped than I expected from the pictures, with an airfryer, and mini oven/stove top. It had everything you could want for a short stay. The decor was great and the bed comfy with a view of the sea and lovely walks on your doorstep. I would definitely stay again.

The decor was beautiful, calm, and inviting, and you can tell how much love went into setting up every detail. Everything was spotless and well maintained, which made the stay feel easy and comfortable. The owner was lovely. She was kind, warm, and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. You don’t often meet people who care that much about their guests, and her energy made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the location was perfect for a quiet getaway. Mornings were filled with light and fresh air, and the evenings felt calm and homely. The bed was comfortable, the space was relaxing, and everything worked perfectly. I didn’t want to leave when it was time to check out. It’s one of those places that stays with you long after you’ve left. I’d recommend De Vuurtoren to anyone visiting Yzerfontein,it’s a place you’ll want to come back to.

Nothing. Everything was too good

Spent a birthday weekend here. It was a great stay-cation spot! This place is a great option for the warmer days as it is very cool inside (they even provide extra blankets, heaters and heating blankets to make sure you're comfortable). Hosts allowed us to have 100% privacy and was an overall great experience.

We left after the first night. We never met the host so we don't even think they knew that we left!. The room stank badly of mildew which caused my husbands allergies to flare up. The remote for the blinds did not work so we were totally exposed to the road.

Beautiful property, great view, easy to find.

It can get quite cold, as the property doesn't get any sunlight (visited in April). But there is a heater that does a surprisingly good job of heating up the living area/bedroom.
