Airlie Marina Views Escape

Great location walking distance to main street of Airlie. The unit was spotless and well maintained and well thought out.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

The check in process was easy. They provided a clear email on how to get the keys and connect to the wifi. Although it was a little bit confusing the week before as the owner just sold the property and a company is now managing the apartment. It went from a simple process on booking.com when I booked to getting all these forms to sign from the new company which I had no idea why. I did ask for additional towels from the original owner but this request got lost in the transition. It was great that there were two umbrellas that they provided as it was raining when we visited. The beach towels they provided was good because we could bring those to the beach. The fridge was big, large spacious main area. The dishwasher did not work when we arrived. We ate out a lot so it didn't bother us too much but we did mention it to the company. The pool was fine and clean.

The apartment is in a great location however still a walk to the main shops area and it is a little run down. The toilets were black and needed a good clean but more likely an upgrade. The bathroom sinks and shower drains also needed a good clean from mould. We arrived with a one toilet roll in the holders and no spares. Tissue boxes that were empty, literally the empty cardboard box was left there for us. The soap dispenser in the ensuite was empty and just the bottle. Its like no one even checked or cleaned the place. The floors were a little dirty and the bathrbathroom floors were soaking wet. We got to the apartment late and didn't realise all the shops close so early. So couldn't get any snacks or household items. I did end up emailing the company that is now managing the apartment and they offered to have the apartment cleaned. They ended up leaving a bag at the front door with toilet paper, a tissue box, few hand soaps and a bottle of prosecco and chocolates to compensate.

Fabulous location. Close to main shopping area and restaurants. Belle was amazing. Checking in when we arrived. Dedicated parking spot in secure park. I had an issue with the safe- my fault but it was quickly dealt with. Lovely pool to kick back and relax . Loved the unit and location.
