De gastvrouw was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De locatie was geweldig aan het water en makkelijk om de ferry te pakken.

Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefüllt in dieser Unterkunft. Der Gastgeber war absolut hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Er hat mir meine Koffer und Taschen hoch getragen, und auch bei der Abreise wieder alles runter getragen, und geholfen ins Auto zu packen, obwohl es schon sehr spät war und dunkel draußen. Die Lage war für mich optimal, 10 Min mit Auto zum Bahnhof, und die Fährstelle über die Elbe direkt vor der Tür. Ich habe viel unternommen, war in der Unterkunft eigentlich nur zum Schlafen und zum Frühstücken. Übrigens, die vorbei fahrenden Züge stören gar nicht, denn die Unterkunft hat Schall isolierende Fenster. Klimaanlage gibt es nicht, aber eine Belüftungsanlage. Ich würde diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen und kann sie wirklich herzlich empfehlen.

Habe nichts auszusetzen gehabt.

Die Wohnung war nicht perfekt sauber. War aber nur minimal.

I spent a wonderful week here at the end of April and was sorry to leave. The hosts were charming and very helpful, especially in relation to pick-up and drop-off at Bad Schandau station. The property was immaculate and very spacious, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The hosts had prepared a huge amount of information about local activities, transport, hiking trails etc. and were happy to help with any suggestions. The location is right next to the ferry jetty at Krippen, and a short walk from Krippen S-Bahn station, so it was a great base to explore the area and very relaxing to come back to after a long day walking . Bad Schandau town centre is 15 minutes' walk after you cross the river, along a very scenic riverside path.

Nothing could have been better! I'd highly recommend it

We stayed here using it as a base for the Malerweg hike. Staying in Bad Schandau would have been a bit more convenient for that purpose, but this place was fine nonetheless because we had a car and were able to easily get to the hub of Bad Schandau. The apartment was quite spacious. The owner was very friendly and attentive whenever we had any questions or issues.

The property is close to train tracks that carry passenger and freight trains. The kitchen featured stovetops, an electric kettle, a coffee machine, and a toaster for heating food. We would have liked a microwave oven (or oven) as well.

For the cost of not much more than a hostel I was able to stay in a nice 1 bedroom apartment located right on the Elbe river. The apartment included a stove so I was able to self-cater. There’s a laundry room downstairs which you can use for a nominal fee (4 Euros for a load). The furnishings aren’t flash but it’s very functional and has everything you need. While Krippen is only a small village it is located close to Bad Schandau which is the transport hub of the area. and has several Super Markets. There’s a really reliable network of public ferries, buses and trains which you can use for free as it’s included in your €3 per day Tourist tax. The owner will give you a card on arrival. Super convenient if you don’t speak German! I was able to do The 112 km Malerweg (Painters Way Path) trail using public transport to reach the start and finish points of the walk each day. Much nicer than camping in the rain. 😅 As previous posts have mentioned the owner is lovely and will go out of his way to make sure everything is right for you. Communication was excellent! This my review reader is a fantastic apartment and you should book it now!

The pillows are a bit on the soft side. I think it’s a German thing.
