Appartement Alpensee

Several balconies in the property, these were great to sit out on and just enjoy the view. Staff were friendly and helpful. They give you a little voucher for free public transport although the town is close by and easy to walk to along the lake side. The lake is easy to get to and was great for a dip in the morning. The apartment is a good size, the kids had their own room plus there was a dining/living room. The location was a good base for us to explore Zell am See but also Berchtesgaden and the Grossglockner pass.

The cooking set up is ok but you only have a small hob with no oven and the fridge does not have a freezer compartment. It's a little dated inside but clean. The road outside is quite busy and the traffic starts early in the morning so it's not quite the alpine retreat we imagined although that does mean it's very easy to get to. The parking is a bit more exciting that I'd have liked. Half of it is up the side of the building on a steep slope, I was slightly paranoid about someone letting go of a car door and that slapping into the neighbouring car. It's all quite tight as well and you park on a slippy wooden bridge.

Zimmer hat nach Rauch gerochen. Im Badezimmer hat es nach Urin gerochen, sobald der Ventilator anging. Waschbecken lief nicht ab, war verstopft. Küchezeile hatte keinen Backofen!
