Nida's Place

The yard is nice, the bed was pretty comfy, the host was helpful. There is free drinking water, parking for scooters. There are some cafes, laundry shops near by. All in one the vibe was good.

The room, the kitchen is very basic, and a bit outdated for the price. There is a construction right next door so it was a bit noisy, also you could hear people having party in the evening/night. The walls are thin so you also hear the neighbors if they are loud. The front door has a lot of space through which insects can get inside.

The location was near the bridge.

The room was very small compares to how it looks in the photos. There were cockroaches in the room. Nida was very rude to my wife and I. We were shocked as she must not care about her reviews. Would never go back. They also didn’t clean the room as promised.

The place was incredible! I loved having a little porch outside the room. The bed was super comfortable, and I really appreciated that the toilet was separate from the shower. The WiFi was incredibly good and super fast. The location is perfect—Cloud 9 is a great area, not as chaotic as General Luna, but you can still find everything you need. Plus, it’s just a 10-minute ride to General Luna.

The room was a bit dark, and the AC was a little loud, but overall, it was a great stay!

Nida's place us in a quiet area north of General Luna but is close to several cafes shops and restaurants all within walking distance. A 5 to 10 minute walk and you reach the beach. It is also well placed for Cloud 9 ( surfing mecca) which you can easily walk to in about 15 minutes. A 15 / 20 minut tuk tuk / trike ride away is General Luna Centre. Numerous friendly bars and cafes are dotted along the way as well as small stores and massage businesses ( handy for unknotting the muscles after surfing) We stayed in a bungalow with shower and kitchen equipped with a 2 ring gas hob, kettle , fridge freezer and microwave. Our daughter stayed in an apartment with en suite shower and access to a communal kitchen. Both were equipped with air con in the bedroom and also electric fans. The bungalow interior was looking a little tired in places but was perfectly comfortable and functional. The shower itself is more up to date and worked well providing a nice hot shower - very welcome after a days sightseeing/ surfing. They are set in a beautiful garden which is well tended by the staff and is home to frogs, millipedes , caterpillars, a friendly cat and numerous colourful visiting birds. Nida's staff are very friendly and helpful but allow you space to relax and do your own thing. They also organised pick up and transfer back to the airport for us - all in all a lovely group of people.

Nothing major - a bit of repair work is needed to the sink in the bathroom.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Nidas Place on Siargao! From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights was when we all got together for a barbecue—it was such a fun and memorable experience that really added a special touch to our trip. The location is perfect: peaceful and quiet, yet just a short ride away from the lively center of General Luna. There are also plenty of great restaurants and cozy cafés nearby, so we were never short of options. We can’t recommend Nidas Place enough—fantastic hospitality, a relaxing vibe, and an ideal spot to enjoy Siargao. We’d come back in a heartbeat! – Valerie and Timur
