Domus Parthenope

Beautiful apartment & pool. We wanted to holiday somewhere relaxing, away from tourists and busy life because we live in a busy city. This accommodation was perfect! We experienced real Italian culture. It is in a great location to go site seeing to historical sites like Oplontis, Villa Regina, Pompeii etc. But you will need to use public transport. We knew this before and we loved our stay 😊 The host Anna was such a welcoming kind person & she was so helpful!

It was a nice newly updated apartment very clean. The kitchen was small but had everything you needed.

Located in a residential area near Pompeii we were able to feel like locals. The balcony is a wonderful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or cold drink while basking in the sun.

Host was welcoming, great pool and outdoor area. Our place was small, but had everything we needed, very well faciliated, with cooker, coffee, and was a super cute place. The place was also quiet and walking distance to the train station

Not many pedestrian pathways around the area but this has nothing to do with our stay which was great

The apartment was lovely, clean and spacious. It has everything you need. The terrace was great for evenings sat with a glass of wine, book and a view of Mount Vesuvius. The pool was also very nice on those hot balmy days.

The area! We were quite shocked at the area. It was very run down and dirty. You can't look around while walking because you have to dodge the dog poo, rubbish and broken paving. We walked past the train station as we thought it was a derelict building, shutters down, covered in graffitti & overgrown plants! None of the locals were very friendly either and on a few occasions it felt quite intimidating. If you could pick the apartment up and move it to Pompei it would be perfect.

Everything.

The terrace was very large with a great view. We spent most of the time on the terrace or at the pool. It was very easy to get to Pompeii from Bocoreale station which is a six minute walk from the apartment. Vesuvius was a short drive away and you can get to Sorrento from Bocoreale Station. It was very relaxing staying there. Any queries were dealt with quickly. It wasn't far to the COOP and there was another supermarket within walking distance. We spent eight nights there.

It didn’t bother us but the accommodation wasn't fancy and could probably do with freshening up. If you know this in advance you shouldn't be disappointed.
