"Exceptional"

10.0

"Not worth the money."

4.0

Well, the fact that its close to Brief Garden, is the strongest asset. The staff is kind and prepare a decent meal at a nominal price. I asked for a Cake as it was my partners birthday, and the owners were kind enough to provide that. We got a tuk tuk ride to Brief garden, which was nice.

There are many things that can be improved. I will list them one by one. 1: To start with the property doesn't have any signage, or their name on the gate, so one doesn't know if one has reached.. The google map brings you until a point and then shows a walking path. We reached late evening when it was dark and it was pouring cats and dogs (as is the case most times in Sri Lanka) so we had a tough time finding the place. Luckily our taxi driver called on the number from google and the staff guided us. 2: The property is in the middle of a large plantation area. For some, it might be an asset. But we found it bit boring. On a rainy day, there isn't much to do as near by areas get flooded. 3: The bathrooms have showers with very low water pressure and the water too is luke-warm. So if one wants a hot shower after a swim .....one cant. 4: There are no Bottles for one to keep water on ones bedside. Just 1 jug and we were 2 people. Had we been more people, god only knows what we would have done. 5: Lastly, we paid a handsome price for 2 people occupying the property with 4 bedrooms. The price we paid is apparently the same for 6 people.. Yet we were not satisfied with the amenities, the location or the comfort the property has to offer.
