YAMA APARTMENTS - Private Beachfront

The beach side location was great & having that beach view from the spacious wonderful was fantastic!! The staff were lovely & a special shout out for Trishia & Glen!! You had the option of the beach view bar / dining or a more "sports bar" option. The current is strong & when the tide comes in that's an experience on its own!! If you're looking for a top class beach view accommodation in Siargao, this is the place for you!! Will hopefully come back again soon!!

It's not a "didn't like" but just caught us a bit by surprise. Siargao is popular with the younger tourists from a wide range of countries. Yama Apartments appears to have a reputation for low priced drinks so from 8:30-9:00pm the place starts to fill up with younger tourists & eventually gets very very busy. So, if you're staying pitch up a bit earlier & you'll be fine. Plus the staff (Glen) will look after you as you're a resident. Doesn't hurt to give a 50-100 pesos tip & then you'll definitely get looked after 😉😉

very central. nice people, nice staff. good breakfast. good view all wet cloths are getting dry easily on your balcony. dogs are walking around but they are not agresive. after 10 pm many people come drink but 12-12.30 around it will be quite.so you can sleep peacefull. their aircon is clean and silent. its important.

- Stunning view of the ocean from the room terrace. - Room is very spacious, clean and has good amenities like a small fridge, desk, third bed (for lounging) and a little closet. The balcony has nice deck chairs and a rack to dry bikinis & towels. - Staff was very friendly and helpful (Special thanks to Trisha). She also helped us book motorbikes at a discount. - The free breakfast in the morning was very nice. They also provide free coffee and tea. - Location is super central and in walking distance to the main road and all the restaurants & stores. - The hotel area is pretty chill during the day, get's noisy at night though (see below).

- This hotel is definitely not our first choice for a relaxing stay because it gets very noisy at night (and no not just for the trivia night on tuesday). The Barrel bar attached to the hotel (including the bar hut out front by the rooms) is very popular with a younger crowd. So in the evening the whole lot (including the beach area in front of the bungalows) fills up with motorbikes and drunk revelers. Luckily everythings closes down at midnight. But it kinda ruins the chill vibe you have during the day. - Maybe we had a bit of bad luck because our room was closest to the bar, but it is definitely is not soundproof as mentioned in some reviews. - Shower wasn't great, almost no pressure so we had to resort to using the bucket and scoop. - We wish they would provide some lounges or beach chairs out front by the ocean. Also don't expect a beach in front of the property, you have a bit of grass and then a concrete wall with stairs to get into the ocean. - WIFI is spotty, but this is a common problem everywhere in Siargao.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, near to everything And the beachfront view is everything.
